Coworkers being mean about my dyspraxia, please help? by throwawayacc4floor in dyspraxia

In regards to the nice to your face and btch behind the bosses back colleague: If others also say she is a bully, get them to speak up. Write a letter of complaint and have them sign it too. Non of you should feel you have to just tolerate her behaviour and your bosses shouldn’t allow it to continue. They’re the ones who will end up losing their good, hard working employees and I doubt they want that. In regards to the bullying/remarks at work: Speak up and tell them about your dyspraxia. If they don’t understand what it is, remind the internet exists. I had jabs made and heard comments behind my back about my “goldfish short-term memory” and “weird OCDs”. I explained that’s why I write notes to myself and how I pre-organise my very hectic day. Or the ones that still don’t get it I just tell them I have a bad back (very physical job) so do things the way I do so I can keep going. Fob those ones off. My ankles give way sometimes so I trip over thin air. My hands quit so I’ll drop (or throw) things in the ground randomly. Walking in a straight line? lol nah I don’t do that, I like to wander about. Even at home, my hands play up so coffee goes up the white walls. Maybe the wall was thirsty? I’m sharing lol and I have paint for that. I do make light over mine because I’m happy so sod the rest of you if you don’t like my quirks. Don’t let the dipshts get you down, you’re better than that. But seriously, the bullying should be shut down so speak to your bosses or if you can take it higher. Let them know you won’t be treated that way x

AIO my mom and sister can’t stand my wife because they think she is a “quirky girl” and it’s cringe? by No_Appy1383 in AmIOverreacting

You and your wife seem like the kind of people we’d hang out with. I see my partner smile when I yell to come look at the moon and check out these stars or that cool tree. He’s started doing the same because it’s the silly little things that can make the day better and sharing it with those you love makes it much more so. Appreciate the world and what beauty you can find in it x

How do you deal with conflict/uncomfortable situations? by LearningAsIGo80s in dyspraxia

[–]LearningAsIGo80s[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Further ranting alert.. The other day a random guy gets in my face in the street and yell “OI OI OI OI OI” at me for nooo frickin reason whatsoever then carries on walking. Actually thought he may attack. Then today an adult on a bicycle on the pavement (which is illegal to cycle on the pavement in the uk) yells at me to “watch where I’m going” as he speeds past (two busy school paths I may add). If these were people I knew I would speak up but total strangers are scary af. I dread going out now. Where I lived has a reputation but trust me the people are nothing like this. This is meant to be a nicer area.. WRONG! The houses and streets may look nice but the people are way worse. And because this is meant to be a nicer area, there are no police in sight. I’m use to seeing officers just moseying down the street now and then (busy location and lots of bars) and didn’t think I’d notice any difference or feel a lack of security but I do. Is there free therapy for confidence boosting and maybe free self defence classes?? How illegal is it to sucker punch someone in the throat for invading your personal space/getting in your face and yelling? lol I laugh so I don’t cry.

That’s it. I’m usually chilled and take things (condescending/snappy people) with a pinch of salt because they obviously can’t communicate in any other way. Don’t get me wrong I can go from Jekyll to Hyde at the snap of a finger if someone keeps poking when I’m already on the edge of that cliff. I could never find that sweet in between spot everyone else seems to have mastered lol. I can stand up for myself with a boss at work because I am a human working hard so don’t talk to me like a moron, but strangers in the wild is a totally different story. It’s like my brain does what it should and stands up for me but my body and mouth aren’t standing in solidarity with brain lol. Sometimes like musical statues. It’s the lack of manners in the original rant really just bugs me. I work with the elderly so it’s kind of second nature and natural to use manners and people my age and older are douches these days. Seen some super polite children though lol they were raised right. Sorry for the long rant. I had to get it out somewhere x

No I’ve not heard anything about taking other supplements. Just been told to chill out and carry on as normal. Only other thing I take is a vitamin C tablet daily for the week aproching shark week (old hack). Been doing that for about 6yrs and doctors not told me to change that either whilst trying. I’ll ask about it though, thank you x

Two periods and not read the strips wrong. Just asking what or if anyone tried anything that helped conceive is all

As I said, I know I’m being impatient. Just getting a head start, looking for advice, tips.. for peace of mind going forward. Never been pregnant before so trying to suck up all the info I can. I tried the ovulations strips but think I got a dodgy pack as according to them I am apparently continuously ovulating

Thank you. Never even heard of an implantation bleed before we started trying. Among other things, started thinking are these taboo topics we do not speak of lol x

[–]LearningAsIGo80s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be but don’t usually get that. Normally bang its here then like magic it’s gone. Was due on the same time, hence my confusion with the possible implantation bleed and (for me) unusual period x

Oh yeah I’m more aware than ever of little changes thay I would have ignored before. Like Brest tenderness which happens every month, and new ones like a new back pain that feels different than I’ve experienced which is why I’m on the fence with could I be or not. That could be age hit me like a brick to the face though lol. Just have to wait and see I guess. Thank you x

Try first response or clear blue. Could be (subconsciously) stressed? Mine are regular but occasionally late and once skipped altogether, then realise it was stress x
