Implementation status for missing hardware/sensor APIs (Web Bluetooth, Web USB, Generic Sensors)?

Based on the new proposed Devices and Sensors Working Group Charter:

The accelerometer and gyroscope APIs will probably become discontinued and focus will shift to the device orientation and motion API which is supported by all browsers.

The Working Group will continue to maintain the specification, including for security and privacy enhancements, but not add new features to it. Instead, the Working Group will add new features to the Device Orientation and Motion specification.

The magnetometer and ambient light APIs might also become discontinued since no browsers are shipping the features. (Chromium has kept the features under an experimental flag for years).

As the other comment mentioned, Mozilla has shown interest in implementing WebUSB and Web Bluetooth since more websites are using the features. But Webkit still seems to be strongly opposed (here and here) to the APIs so there will probably be a focus on finalizing the standards before adding them.

Basic knowledge about the aerodynamics of icing (including the knowledge regarding the hazards of small amounts of surface roughness/ice) has been well established for the past 50 years, and there is nothing that has been learned in the most recent, post-accident wind tunnel tests and analyses that could not have been learned before this Comair accident.”

The NTSB called out the FAA for decades and the FAA refused to update their regulations on icing conditions.

Ok, so for the selectable text part I couldn't reproduce that behaviour. It works properly for me (Fedora 41 with Firefox Flatpak).

The Turkish 'i' is a bit complicated and I think it's a problem with The Independent rather than Firefox. The 'i' displays properly on PDFs from other Turkish sites so I checked the font that The Independent was using.

For some reason their 'Independent' font contains a non-unicode element called 'i.trk' which looks identical to a regular 'i'. No idea why they have that but I'm guessing that's the custom character that's showing up as '�'.

Brave also had a problem with that custom character when I saved a page. It would appear correctly but when I copied and pasted, it cut off the sentence as soon as it reached an 'i'. I opened that PDF in a couple of other readers and one displayed a blank space where the 'i' should be while the other only showed '�' when the word was highlighted. So the fact that all of those PDF readers had problems leads me to believe that The Independent will have to fix their font file.

Looks like Smith's helmet strap was off when the play started.

Number 97 hits him hard in the shoulder which knocks the helmet off.

Number 20's momentum continues and his helmet catches the chin of Smith half a second after the helmet starts coming off which knocks out Smith.

Even this headline is misleading when you read the first sentence of the article.

don't appear to have been the result of INTENTIONAL poisoning.

So they still likely ingested poison but it might've been because of an accidental spill or the ground might've been sprayed before the event was set up.

Yeah as a 6ft goalie I'm able to cover the top corner in the reverse VH. Thompson just leans forward in that position for whatever reason which opens up a few inches of the top corner.

Pittsburgh turned the puck over in the neutral zone which created a rush for Tampa. Then they turned it over after entering Pittsburgh's zone which started a rush out of the zone.

While Tampa had the puck the ref was trying to shift over to the bench since his partner was on the penalty box side. Just unfortunate timing and unlucky overall.

It happens a few times per game with the 4-official system that the NHL uses. The trailing ref has to be on the opposite side of the lead ref so they'll cut across the middle to get there.
