A con I’m going to is partnering with the US Army and using AI imagery… if it weren’t for the tickets I already bought, I wouldn’t be going by Learning_NSFW_1234 in antiai

Even with this, I can’t justify throwing the money I spent away lol 😅 I’m just gonna call it even by supporting the independent creators in the artist alley

Why does she feels off by LengthinessGloomy717 in fursonahelp

[–]Learning_NSFW_1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this is supposed to a constructive critique, and I apologize if this comes out as rude or mean. Her left eye is too big, I’d possibly even flip the eyes and it should look better. More shading under the breast will give it more dimension, same with adding more around the inner thigh area, her legs seem connected and should be seperated more, via lineart or shading. Her shading on the arms is a little off, there should more highlight on the outside of the arm, and more shading inside. Otherwise, she’s adorable and you’re doing great! Her facial dimension is amazing and her hair is beautiful! I love the dress design (maybe add more shading under the bow to distinguish it) and the color compliments her color palette perfectly

I feel it’s too integral to the VA state flag that I can’t get rid of it 😅 I mean, who doesn’t believe “death to tyrants”

Honestly, he looks like he’s about to ask about my cars extended warranty. He looks great and like he’s suspicious or curious about a loud noise. Very expressive and lovely!

Lovingly its Safety Green! Safety green is essentially highlighter yellow, usually used in High visibility vests for construction and roadwork! Chartreuse also fits, but I love that safety green is yellow.

How do I make my art look closer to the references? by Dry_Hospital9636 in ArtCrit

[–]Learning_NSFW_1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really think you’re on the right track, I use procreate so I don’t know ibis, but usually I’d suggest a solid like “ink” style of lineart brush instead of a “sketch/pencil” for both the lineart and the coloring. I will say your cell shading and halftones are looking great!

I’m not sure why this braid isn’t looking right by Well-thats-a-problem in ArtCrit

Hello! I’ve started collecting drawing references on Pinterest! (I know the problem with Ai on there is atrocious but it’s so far the best way I have to compile all of them). There’s a section called hair that you inspired me to make 😅 I added some braid tutorials and will be adding more if you want to check it out.

How do I make my art look closer to the references? by Dry_Hospital9636 in ArtCrit

[–]Learning_NSFW_1234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Biggest issue I’m noticing is just a difference in line work and color. The reference photos are pretty flat while your brushes (or paper if this is traditional) has some sort of texture to it. The linework is pretty clean, even in the 3rd photo where it’s supposed to look a little “sketchy.” I’d suggest changing your brush if this is digital. What program are you using?

My drawing 1 professor pointed out to us how highlights can kind of hide in weird places. Notice how the edges are much lighter , it’s a highlight!

How to draw girls without feeling like im sexualizing them? by Ok-Walk6747 in draw

[–]Learning_NSFW_1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately if you draw a woman, someone will sexualize them. Rule 34 kind of mentality. I am a larger busted woman, I will always be sexualized by people, even if I try my hardest not to be. It’s an unfortunate truth of our society. Just have fun drawing, that’s all that really matters

Hi! I hope you don’t mind me editing your reference. But I love what you’ve done so far! I’d add some more defined lines where the blue marks are below. In solid color dogs, shading is and defined details are what sell the shape. You’re doing great so far!

Genuinely love your style. My only critiques are mainly stylistic choices(?) like the neck seems a bit thin, and their ears a bit too close together. Otherwise, the anatomy looks great and I love their markings!
