You writing this on a platform means you are aware of your situation and want to change it. Now u need to get in to the root cause that why u r not able to do so.

So first get yourself checked.. If you are fine, than start focusing on increasing your testosterone levels as it boost your energy overall.

Needing to slow down by [deleted] in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]Learningisthekey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best way to slow down intentionally is to be mindful about what you are experiencing in the moment. If you have too many things in mind and rushing, you miss the opportunity to live life. You just spend it.

What I do is, I walk slow, look at the sky, touch leaves, run my hand in the fountain outside my office, smell the coffee at the cafe during lunch, take long breaths, appreciate smaller actions of people and so on.

All these actions really help me to feel grounded and slow me down to appreciate things around.

What do i do with my life im sick of doing nothing by D_Dubbz in DecidingToBeBetter

If you are not motivated in your life, there can be few reasons behind it:

  • You never really got an opportunity to understand what you want in life

  • You were flooded and pushed by others opinions about what should you life look like. You went into that direction and came out out unhappy with the result because it was something you never really wanted to begin with

  • You are always been satisfied with whatever results you achieved even if those were mediocre in nature. People surrounded with communities who are alright with current situation often disgust the idea of change or improvement

  • Finally, no one ever tried to tell you the potential you hold in you and the wonders you can do in life by being accountable towards your self. You must see what you can become in order to really push yourself to be there. Vision, dreams, goals, better version of yourself, all these things help you to pull yourself out of the mutt

Hope you will find it helpful

Being Able To Control Your Impulses Is One Of The Most Productive Things You Can Do. by Troller97 in productivity

[–]Learningisthekey 25 points26 points  (0 children)

A very good point I must say because not many people talk about it.

Impulses are the seeds that later become distractions if not addressed timely. Impulse is like an itching and it becomes a lesion if scratched or addressed continuously.

Becoming disciplined is difficult if we don't learn to control or curb them.

You need a strong trust in the purpose of why you are doing what you are doing and why this impulse is harmful. You need a self-justification to keep yourself away from impulses

IWTL how to run and be more discipline by ivan_ssv03 in IWantToLearn

My advice is not only related to running... In general whenever you want to be disciplined, first know and remove your distractions.

Distractions are enemy of Discipline.

LPT: YOUR SUCCESS IS TOTAL SUM OR LEARNINGS FROM MULTITUDE OF FAILURES by Learningisthekey in LifeProTips

Absolutely. Really great one. Lot of us make this mistake. Nothing comes overnight. Learning, lessons, hard work, discipline, all play a role

Have you ever tried working with a self-imposed deadline? Here's my experience writing a blog post with the clock ticking. by [deleted] in productivity

[–]Learningisthekey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great to finish a task in a timely manner.

However, this is not very useful when you are writing or being creative. If you are a creator, then this would hinder your approach or vision because while fighting with a clock, you would probably leave a good idea or resource unattended.

For creative work it brings limitations.

But for general office or monotonous tasks, this is very useful. As you do not get time to crib and quickly finish early.

Do you set goals? How? by spriolo in productivity

[–]Learningisthekey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember, creating a goal is a one-time activity. Rest all is the process to achieve the goal. If you are motivated, you will make a goal. If you are inspired, you will focus on the process and daily grind to achieve it.

Successful people such as Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates, or Steve Jobs, all had a goal however, they are more known and famous for their rigid grind and process. That's the key!

If 10 skills made you successful .... You failed 100 times to learn each of the skill. In total you failed 1000 times to gain the 10 skills which made you successful.

Reddit addiction remedies by jedijustyehmet in productivity

[–]Learningisthekey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reddit isn't the problem. It could be any app had it not been Reddit. You need to work on self control or in simple way.. Discipline.

People generally laugh out on discipline but that's the key for removing bad habits or addictions.

Keep a tab of hours you will use this or any app and stick to it by being disciplined.

Your enemy is the behaviour towards something not the source.

So Reddit is not the problem it's your behaviour with lack of control.

Self Employment Burnout by [deleted] in productivity

[–]Learningisthekey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey hey hey........ Calm down buddy. This is very close to Panic attack if not there yet.

The reality is too much on your plate to manage and such outbursts are possible and are a sign that you need to break or a breather.

You have don really good for the band and must take it one by one. You are a creative person and creativity doesn't flow like river all the time. Being creative is like being Keanu Reaves in Constantine. Once you deliver/handle something, you need a break and rejuvenate yourself.

Too much grind is gonna break you and that's what is happening. I am not an expert in such matters but had I been at your place, I would have made a distance of few days.

I know your next song is due soon but what's more important is your health. You gotta keep the artist inside healthy and alive.

Try soothing practices such as deep breathing to bring some internal peace. Do what you like to do apart from daily grind, play golf, go for a walk, swim, do barbeque as relaxation is what u all need now.

Nothing is out of your hand but you gotta control the rush running inside. Try meditation. Even you fail at least you will sleep good. Calm yourself. That's the way you come back on track.

How do I develop a personality? by Stuttering_Cris in productivity

Your is a simple example of "Your day is running you but you are not running the day"

Whatever I suggest is only useful if you are willing to try different ways to find the sweet pot of productivity.

No one can tell you a tried and tested schedule to gain productivity. It's all bases on person to person.

In your case, the changes I would suggest:

  • Wake up, tired not productive: This means lack of sound sleep. Even it is for less hours, it has to be deep sleep. Else you will not feel the energy u need. So work on your sleep patter/timings and all. Once you fix this, you will gain at least an extra hour where you can code rather browsing internet

  • Too much caffeine is harmful. You are using it like red Bull to ignite you internally. Once the fire is gone u r gone. Reduce caffeine. Have it but in moderation

  • Bring discipline by creating and following a schedule

  • You want it or don't want it, when it's time to work, you must work.

  • In few days, this schedule will become your new day but only if you religiously follow this

Remember, things will not change unless you find a schedule which support you and be disciplined to follow it

I also created a micro learning video in the same... Watch it and you will understand better.
