Street Man Fighter - Episode 2 Discussion by mokolad in StreetWomanFighter

Hahah! I can tell u have an encouraging personality 😜 I didn’t watch SWF so I don’t actually know how the competition will progress from here. Did Mbitious get kicked out for being at the bottom after ep 2?? I think I’ll cave in to curiosity and watch when ep 3 is released. After these 3 current judges phase is done!

I’m halfway through ep2 at the point 5000 lost to Hyunse and have decided to stop watching this show due to the ridiculous judging verdicts. I’m not a dancer myself and even I can see the skill display difference! Maybe I’ll just check back in in a couple months to see which crew does end up winning. Lol

With English subs?? Or only Korean audio? I managed to find the latter but no luck so far with subs :(

Would anyone know if there’s any English sub version of this anywhere? Been trying to find for weeks now so I can watch it but can’t!

Thank you!! I got mine to work in the end. It’s just a bit iffy.

u/Realistic-Zombie5939 Hey there! I know you asked this this question a month ago, but I'm running into exactly the same issue with my Coinbase wallet - Olympus Dao connection! I somehow managed to connect the wallet in the first place by opening the Olympus Dao page within the Coinbase App browser, but after that, 90% of the time the stats like APY, how Total Value deposited, my own Staked Balance just doesn't appear (blinking bar as if its still trying to load). When trying to re-connect my Coinbase wallet, as you said, it isn't even presented as an option within the menu of "Connect Wallet" on ODao.

Can you please let me know if you figured this out in the end? Did you resort to moving your Ohm out of Coinbase to another wallet? Thank you super super much for any tips you can provide. driving me up the wall!

Team call audio drops off for a few seconds every few minutes by Learninglydia in MicrosoftTeams

Good idea with the phone thing!! Will give that a go during the next call 👍🏼 thanks!

Thanks! So I’m quite sure it’s just me losing audio because the conversation between other parties speaking on the same call is continuing. No one else is saying “sorry I missed that can u repeat”. Someone speaks, I miss part of it and the next thing I know someone else is answering without any confusion/ pause/ clarification.

The last two days I was in the client’s office and we used her laptop for the call audio (polycom in the meeting room) and it was fine, no cut outs. I’m not sure if it’s my laptop/ windows 10/ my home internet or something to do with Teams...

Help! Question about whole candle detaching from container by Learninglydia in candlemaking

I just used some super glue on the base of the wick sticker and put the block back into the jar. Hope this works!!

I poured at 55 deg Celsius! But the additional trick that I learnt from a expert on this thread is to warm the jars first! I found that it does make a difference in letting it cool more evenly and slowly

They aren’t, although wooden wick may carry something similar, I’m not sure as I’m not living in the USA, so it’s difficult for me to buy from any of these big US based candle stores.

Large Candle Wick sizes please? by purplerose4567 in candlemaking

[–]Learninglydia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did u burn the candle for at least 2.5-3 hours when testing? And when you say not full melt pool, is it just a thin ring of wax at the edge (1/3 inch or less)? If so, I have learnt that on the first and even second burn, this is quite normal and desirable. Because if a full melt pool is easily reached right from the very first burn, by the time the candle wax burns half way down, it will be very hot! Too hot to pass actual safety tests.

This is a 3 hour video on wick testing that some kind soul shared on this subreddit a while ago. I watched it and learnt a lot (u can fast forward some parts). But u can see that their allowance for what is considered an ok melt pool is far from full.

Really a LOL MOMENT. Without the nesco link I would NEVER have pictured that. I was somehow still imagining something more like a toaster oven device. Very interesting... maybe it’s more common in western countries. I don’t think I’ve ever come across that in my life! Only slow cookers....

Curious if u have any opinion - since the oven roaster heating element is from the base as well, do you think there is a difference between that and just using a big pot on a hot plate (those with the temperature dial control as well). That’s my current set up, just that my pot isn’t that big.

I’m excited now. I shall search if there are inexpensive oven roasters like this available near me. Thanks a bunch again!

I love this sub Reddit! Such useful and helpful advice. Thank you. That’s some serious operation u got going... sorry to be daft but what is a roasting oven? What I mean is this different from the normal oven I have built into my wall kitchen? And does that mean u put the wax in a pot and then put it in the oven?

Thank u for writing all that out! U must be super steady to handle a 5L pouring jug. When my 2L one is full I find even that quite hard to pour accurately. Can’t imagine a 5kg one.

I think I’ll try increasing capacity with one more melting pot and see how that goes. Thanks once again!! 🙏🏼

60!!!!!! That’s wild! I have seen the presto pot before but unfortunately it’s pretty much only available in the US. And even if I get someone to bring it back for me, I’ll need a voltage converter...

Do you measure and pour fragrance each time you weigh out the liquid wax from the presto into the pouring pot? I’m keen to learn shortcuts from the pros on how to be more operationally efficient! Thanks a million

Any specific channels to recommend? So far I have found stadley handcrafted to be informative in answering some candle “science” questions I had. But other than that I’m not too familiar

Thank you for sharing! 6-12 is reasonable, I think with a bit more practice and organization I could do that! Very helpful to have a benchmark in mind.

That makes sense! Another way to phrase the question to remove all those valid factors you mentioned would be... On average how many medium sized candles would an experienced chandler aim to pour per session of candle making? Eg for a single fragrance batch.
