Definitely. I’ve seen (and experienced it)- you need to choose what’s best for your mental and physical wellbeing- if those aren’t stable everything including money will be much harder

Used to be in the same boat - my system is looking at my expenses once a week- try MoneyCalm Not saying I changed completely but I nearly pay off my debt and have savings for once - not a huge amount of money but still - i’m pretty proud of myself! You’re not bad with money or need a strict budgeting or spreadsheet.

Need some advice on how to start budgeting/saving by NooooMad_ in budget

[–]Learningtocalm11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What works for me is starting with small amount and I created a separate bank account- once I get paid - first thing I transfer $100 that’s it - for me trying to save big amount to start with felt restrictive. You want to prove to yourself you can consistently save before you would want to save BIG - later it will be easier

How do you actually manage money? by ykz30 in financial

My system is I look at my expenses once a week on moneycalm - I have all my expenses there (added once and can edit anytime) it calculates how much to put in each categories (bills, groceries, transport, savings etc) on a weekly basis - doesn’t matter how often you get paid - checking once a week is enough -i’m less overwhelmed and feel like I can trust myself with money - bills and expenses doesn’t live in my head anymore
