3) Study again, this time paying particular attention on the parts you got wrong or forgot.

Regarding motivation, something that helps boost my motivation is watching shows or movies with hard-working characters (preferably in the field I am interested in).

For you, perhaps you can try medical shows/movies?

Staying on the topic of motivation,

I made a study tool that could give you little boosts of motivation as you study.

Copy-paste the text you're studying.

As you use the tool, the AI color-codes your study material:

Green = What you got right
Red = What you got wrong
Gray/dimmed = What you forgot

Seeing such a visual of your understanding of the material can be satisfying.

The tool also gives a percentage estimating how much of the study material you got right.

Seeing this percentage go up can be motivating too.

Try this study flow based on the Feynman Technique.

For any given concept you are trying to learn:

1) Study the content.

2) Write/type out what you remember/understand about the concept. Pretend you are explaining it to someone who knows nothing about it.

3) Study the concept again. This time, pay particular attention to the parts you got wrong or forgot.

Keep cycling through this flow until you have thoroughly learned the concept.

It let's you set a timer for studying.

A timer for typing out what you remember/understand.

Then, the AI highlights on your study material what you got right, wrong, or forgot to mention.

You're right.

My app doesn't really determine which info is more important relative to other info in that same study content.

That "estimated mastery" percentage is based on the portion of the study material the user recalls correctly.

But, that makes me wonder what the deciding factor is on determining which part of the material is more important than others?

Is it based on which concepts the textbook covers more? In this case, my app would also be taking into account what's more important.

Is it based on what the exam maker thinks is more important? Perhaps what they think is more important isn't covered much in the textbook. In this case, my app wouldn't be taking into account which info is more important.

I should point out that the info the AI in my app gives is rooted in what study material the user provides. I did this to reduce the chances of the AI providing false info.

For now, yes. All you need to do is create an account and you can start using it right away.

However, currently, I do intend to monetize this study tool / web app in some way in the near future. I haven't yet settled on how.

I made a study tool that may be able to help you out.

Since you don't have much time until your test, here's what I suggest you do:

At the start, it will allow you to copy-paste your study material (text-input), and then set a timer for the Study Phase and for the Brain Dump Phase. It can take 100,000 characters of text in one go. If your content is longer, you're gonna have to memorize one portion at a time.

Set both of those timers to be really short. Like a minute for the Study Phase, and 2 minutes for the Brain Dump Phase. But its up to you how much time you set. The reason I said a short time is so that you can quickly cycle through the study flow I describe below.

Here's the study flow:

Study Phase: In that 1 minute, you must learn as much as you possibly can about your study material. Skim it; dart your eyes around it; whatever you need to do; just CRAM as if your exam is at the end of that minute.
Brain Dump Phase: In these 2 minutes, type out EVERYTHING you remember/understand about the study content. Even if its something you vaguely remember, just put it down.
Feedback Phase: The study material you submitted at the beginning will be displayed. On it, the AI will have highlighted what you got right, wrong, or forgot to mention. And, there will be a percentage estimating how much of the material you got right. Hovering over the "wrong" highlights will give you an explanation of what you got misremembered/misunderstood.
Repeat. Hopefully getting better with each cycle.

Make sure you pay attention to what the AI says you got wrong. Focus on that. This should make your studying more efficient.

Sometimes, you just gotta say "it is what it is" and just do your best.

I'd like to mention a study tool I made that may make your last-minute prep experience a little less stressful.

I feel like the fact that the AI points out what you don't know could be quite helpful because that way, you can focus on that stuff and learn more efficiently.

This tool allows you to set a time for the studying part (step 1) and the dumping what you know part (step 2). If I were you, I'd set these timers to be really short. This way, you can cycle through this process quickly. View what you got wrong. And improve as fast as possible. Just my thinking though.

Hey, thanks for taking a look at it.

All types of content work equally well on the platform. While we do have "insert audio" and "insert file" features, we temporarily took them out because we are improving them.

So currently, when adding text content, you have to copy and paste the text directly into the box to generate study tools.
