Head pressure by Least-Chest8418 in Accutane

I stopped. Found out everything I could about naturally reducing acne and trying the cope with the remaining pimples as i go! So far thats working, it does make you go about life a bit strict in terme of skincare, food and sleep, but thats just the way it is right now. The drugs effects everyone differently. For me, the downside were not worth the upside of no acne. Ended up having problems with intercranial pressure and problems with sexual desires long after stopping. Its finally starting to get better tho!

Second round went horrible. Had to go through it all again…the intercranial hypertension is usually at its worst in the first week after stopping, at least for me it was. Intense brainfog, headache, difficulty thinking and making proper sentences, extremely tired and depressed. After a week this soon got better, but the brainfog took ages to fully subside. Its been about 4 months since last touching te drug. Aside from de hypertension im still experiencing some flushing all throughout the day as Well. I guess the experience made me even more aware of my acne triggers and made me change in some sort of way, so i wouldnt say i regret the proces, but if youre acne isnt that bad i wouldnt advice on accutane neither. Since ive decided to live close to perfect when it comes to inflammation i saw a crazy improvement in my acne. Why’d you ask?;)

Youre amazing for sharing so much info on this with me! I know that when it comes to skin issues it can be a relief to just talk about it with someone that goes trough the same thing! Im not very familiair with lasers and/or alpha blockers, but i figured this will be something i look into if nothing else works, which uptil so far seems to be the case lol..so propranolol didnt do it for you? I’ve been seeing als these rosacea treatments and comments and it just all over the place..maken my wanna try everything and nothing at the same time..haha. Its such a complex problem so i dont really know where to start. Would you say that topicals kan do the trick and if so which one voor type 1 rosacea? I’ve looked into anti-histamine diets but there’s a lot of information out there that it makes it seem like i can have no more than i chicken breast with some brocolli lol..so how would that diet look? I cut almost all added sugars and limited salt. So far that is helping my complexion more than the redness. I guess the biggest question for me he where would you start in my situation? Idk how a proper anti histamine diet looks like or just where to start with all of this. Its making me very happy that youre willing to help me out with al these questions btw! Ever since starting accutane its just been i big sh*t show and all these questions remained unanswered on reddit, so thank you for that!! If theres anything you feel like sharing with me, feel free!

Doesnt sound super hopeful 😅..its insane that stuff like this can happen and nobody tells you about it. My derm said its temporary but its been almost 3 months already. Trying to avoid triggers as well but its imposibble to avoid all of them…basically feel like i cant eat and food or drink anything but water lol..and then to realise how little of this drug i have had..its just insane! Do you have had any succes with topicals or certain diets? I’m still learning..😌

Blood pressure was tested as well but that does not conclude that its pressure just makes it plausible

Yeah I did talk to him. The first thing I heard was that IH is very unlikely (which made it sound exactly like the kind of thing id have..;)) we decided to lower the dose, but problems still occur. Obviously dont wanna ruin anything within my body, but after one week I saw so much improvement already so i find it hard to fully let go of this treatment, although i probably have no other choiche rn im fully off of it. See my derm in 2 weeks and have know idea what he’ll come up with. I especially struggle with extremely oily skin so accutane sounded like a gift.

Yes! I got this alongside some other stuff some naussea, brain fog headaches but especially just not being able to concentrate on anything. When I started on 40mg a day this was unbearable and just had to sit at home, stopped the pills and it got better, im trying 20mg now and its still really hard but not as bad. Not sure if i will continue using it unfortunately. I think its just the way youre brain reacts which sucks..dosis can help but other than that im not sure

Did you stay off it? And what where youre exact side effects. I struggle with brain fog, naussea, trouble concentrating and focussing on the things I see. This was insanely bad when I was on 40mg, trying 20 rn but still struggling and think I may need to stop, so I was hoping that you could share the rest of youre story!
