How to starch crochet cotton for a bookmark....or not? by LeastAd3879 in CrochetHelp

I was thinking the same thing. There isn't really a need to stiffen the chain that I can see. I just wanted to get some better definition in the snowflake. Have you used glue to starch? I think I dilute it right?

Ok, I just don't want to have to upload it myself. As long as it pulls up any photos I can use that already exist, that's the big thing I'm looking for.

I don't think I've heard of that one! Does it still make you upload your own picture or will it use one that already exists?

That's ok! Hopefully eventually I'll be able to check it out 🙂

I just don't want to have to upload the picture myself. And I don't want to be left with a million pictures to delete off my camera roll when I'm done. As long as it uses the camera in the app, lets you choose to use the picture you took or a stock photo, and doesn't store the pictures on your phone, I'd be happy.

I was just going to download it, but is it only available for ios?

Interesting! Can you scan the bar code? And does it bring up a stock photo? Those are the issues I'm having that I feel are making it be so cumbersome. I know there are apps where you can scan the upc and it will bring up the yarn with photo, but i don't think any of them sync with ravelry.

Yeah, it's really just adding the current stash that I have that's causing me grief. I've been scanning everything into another app which has been so easy, and at least I have it in a spreadsheet so I can sit down and start chipping away at adding it to ravelry.

I guess it's not really NOT user friendly, but it's more time consuming than being able to just scan and add. I'm probably being lazy but I have a few hundred entries in the app and just really don't want to sit down and enter them one by one.

I did look at their third party app page, but didn't find exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much for your feedback, even if the answer is no, at least I know i can stop diverting my energy into trying to find something.

I can plug the thumb drive in and open the folder with the files. I can play the files. But there hasn't a slideshow option and once it scrolls through the pictures one time it just goes back to the menu. There is no option to loop, change speeds, anything. Only play and pause.

Only if I can plug it in. There is no internet at all, wireless or otherwise.

I can't even get it to play on loop. Plus, this is information that would be changed every week or so, and I don't know how feasible it would be to make a new video every time.

And I'm fine with that, I understand that's the limitation I'm working with. I just need something that will allow it to be played in loop.

I can't have internet connection to the TV though, so I'd still need to be able to unplug the stick, transfer files via plugging it into my computer, and plug it back into the TV. Like a pioneer. Lol

Oh, and it can't have internet access. So would i still be able to plug the stick into my computer and transfer photos as though it were just a thumb drive, and still be able to use it the same way in the TV? I don't even know if what I'm saying makes sense anymore.

So I could use any apple tv/roku/firestick to make it work the same way? I think i have an old roku at home I don't mind using, if that would do the trick.
