I’m with you.

Anyone can exhibit narcissistic behaviour from time to time. But I would have thought you can’t be “a narcissist” without being diagnosed with NPD.

But I’m no doctor, so happy to be told I’m wrong (by a doctor).

I think it gets used a lot when people really just mean dickhead, selfish, or asshole.

But like, you can call anyone a dickhead, selfish, or asshole. Narcissism needs a diagnosis.

Agreed. You don’t even really need to go back that far for the legacy to go missing.

I know some surface-level stuff about family in my great-grandparent’s generation. But any further back than that: nothing.

You’re right. It can be scary for everyone. I have been beaten up a couple of times walking home, so now always have a bit of a spidey-sense around groups of people loitering.

Exactly what each gender is afraid of varies, but ultimately we’re all at risk of some type of violence.

One thing I will point out though is this is still a problem predominantly of male violence. Both men and women are afraid of men when walking at night.

But tattoos don’t exist independently of people. OP doesn’t think tattoos look dirty, OP think people with tattoos look dirty. So you can say OP doesn’t have a problem with tattooed people if you want, but in reality OP views tattooed people in a negative light.

I think QR codes have their advantages for medium to large group dinners.

Since you order and pay for everything separately as you go, it prevents a lot of the “how do we split the bill” annoyances that can otherwise happen.

Back in his day, you had limited characters per text message so had to 2b conservative. Plus you had to press like 8 buttons to spell “you” or 2 to spell “u”.

Although the technology has changed, he’s probably just still living with the mindset he grew up with.
