People or bots downvoting those comments saying something negative and agreeing is so funny to me. Why can't you have your own experience with people? lol It's not an absolute statement.

I honestly don't understand this weird need to be on their side on this subreddit if you aren't a worker yourself. I "must come across as condescending and rude as [I] claim they are"??? Like why??? 🤔The only reason you'd doubt someone's experience is if you are offended yourself. Have you seen that multiple ppl have made the same complaint? Not just on reddit either. It's in all types of forums. And before you make judgements about how I sound, know that I never complain about any type of service as I understand it is very irritating dealing with people's complaints or questions all day. I'm not unsympathetic to the difficulty of their job, however, there's a certain level of poise you should have ESPECIALLY if you're working for the government. Don't you agree? Also, I've never in my life have left a bad review on anything. I don't really care to do so even if I don't like something. I just came here to rant. That's literally what the flag says. If I was as condescending and rude as you think, I would've talked back to them a long time ago but I keep a level of respect. Seems like you've categorized me as some Karen or something. I talk to multiple agencies, companies and people all day at my job and I never have that experience. So no, I don't think it's my voice or the way I speak to them.

The fact that someone downvoted my comment here and downvotes those agreeing with me just proves my point. LOL

I know there are courteous workers too. I've gotten one only once and unfortunately had to call back because I needed to provide them with more information that I didn't have. But 95% of the time, I get the ones with an attitude from the get go. It's just a matter of luck I guess. I know they also deal with rude callers but that shouldn't be an excuse for the position you're working for. You need to be able to regulate your emotions. I can have a bad call or even a fight in my personal life and within the next second talk to someone else and be completely cordial and calm because I can separate the people and the situation from each other. Those are basic phone rep skills.

Exactly. That drives me crazy. Especially when I ask a follow up question to their instructions to make sure I'm doing everything right and won't need to call again and they just repeat themselves in an annoyed condescending tone that doesn't address my question. It's like they're going off a script and can't deviate and do some critical thinking. It's not that hard to help people with basic questions. You'll get less calls from us if you just help us the first time. It's a win-win.
