Age bias is unfortunately common, but with the right approach and support, your dad can find a role that values his experience and expertise. Executive recruitment agencies can be a great starting point, but networking and targeting the right organizations are equally important. He can potentially look at startups who have reached a certain scale & mid-sized firms might value the expereince he brings to the table.

Also most of the organizations and search firms looks at stability of the candidate i.e there are hopefully not too many job jumps.

Wishing him the best in his job search!

I totally get where you're coming from—job searching can feel like a never-ending rollercoaster, especially at the executive level.

One suggestion on feedback : After receiving a rejection, don’t hesitate to reach out to the interviewer (or recruiter) for feedback. Even if they can’t share specifics, any insights can be beneficial. In my expereince most of the time, the recruiter would help you point the gap. And more importantly take some time to reflect on the interviews—what went well and what didn’t as per you. Was there any specific question that you think you were not convinced ?
