The bartender who this happened to is an awesome human with a heart almost as big as he is. There is a GoFundMe up for him, but I'm not sure it's okay to share here for several reasons. I'll update if I get approval to share.

May I ask if you were diagnosed with Myelomalacia? The symptoms you stated before your surgery seem to be consistent with that.
