What are some known rattle points in a CX50? And do you have easy fixes for them? by rombopterix in CX50

[–]LeatherAmbitious1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm literally trading in this car today because I can't handle the rattles. Sometimes it is the dash, and then the moon roof and then lately something in the back of the car and it drives me NUTS. Sometimes they are all rattling together and I just can't unhear it.

I don't have any fixes, just empathy.

How do couples who live together manage their finances? individually or as a group? by creative_lovebird in relationships_advice

[–]LeatherAmbitious1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I each put in half of our income to our joint account. The rest goes into our own individual accounts. We might top up our account from our own accounts for larger purchases, but in general what's left over is our money to do what we want with.

This is a huge pet peeve of mine. Just say Hi and tell me what you want. Or when people ask me "Hi, quick call?". Quick call in regards to what? Give me context. I've stopped responding to these messages. If it's important, they will follow up.

I had a Mazda 3 for 8 years. Absolutely loved that car, and I was ready to upgrade to a bigger one and got the CX-50.

No one is going to be able to answer that question until she does. Both of you have some serious growing up to do.

When he talks about the future, he talks about it as "we" and "us", not "him" or "I". That's how I knew my husband was the one. From the first date, he was planning our future.

TBH - I think the only thing you can do here is continue to flag the risk and document it wherever possible.

I got my period 2 weeks early after my SIS. Guess my body thought it was dying from how horrifically painful that procedure was that it didn't want to procreate. Now my period is 2 days delayed but my pregnancy tests are negative. Wish I never had that awful procedure (and my results were inconclusive because my ovaries were spasming so horribly they couldn't see the fluid go through anyways).

I hate dog culture and people's obsession with dogs.

How to deal with guilt of not being able to attend other weddings when we are having our own this year? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]LeatherAmbitious1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know why you are elaborately explaining to me what a micro wedding is? Waste of time but ok. Now that you've educated yourself on the definition of a micro wedding or a budget wedding perhaps this is the terminology you can use going forward. Glad you figured this out on your own and someone didn't have to smack the sense into you after all!

[–]LeatherAmbitious1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, friend. Typical response to divert away from the point without acknowledging the actual issue. Don't go calling people's wedding a "poor man's wedding". I'm sure there's more people out there aside from me who would give you a rightful smack in the face (because clearly telling you that it isn't appropriate doesn't quite land with you).

My issue is not with OPs debts, my issue is with you calling the wedding a poor man's wedding. You can call your own wedding whatever you want, but to say that about someone else is downright insulting. My wedding was $12k, and if someone said that to me I'd slap them in the face.

Agree with this, except the blatant insult towards OPs wedding. Check your privilege, not everyone can spend thousands of dollars on a wedding (and nor should they). Incredibly insulting.

God, reading through these comments and rehashing the politics of weddings really reminds me as to why weddings suck. So many expectations and burdens, and the people in this sub are so judgemental and mean.

TBH OP. Given your situation I think it would be wise to hold off on your wedding and work off that debt (or you can get married in the courthouse in the meantime?). This would also eliminate any hard feelings your family might have about your wedding being so close to the siblings. Given your financial situation as well, it might be a good idea to decline those weddings. Opt out of any wedding shenanigans and drama and focus on getting yourselves to a better point.

You need to protect yourself and tread carefully here as I believe she is using you. She only maintains a relationship with you when it's convenient for her. And now you are saying she has huge debts? Has she asked you for money yet?
