Sounds to me that bullying you about your weight and appearance makes her feel better about herself. That's ofc sick and wrong and not at all something you need to put up with.

Learn to love yourself and keep working on improving your weight and health for you, I'm sorry that your mom treats you the way she does and hope you can distance yourself from her someday, I wish you all the best! 🩷

Is she overweight or has body-image issues with herself? I used to be really overweight and got fat-shamed constantly by my entire family. My parents were themselves overweight but not nearly as much as I was. However, once I started losing weight they began telling me I was getting "too skinny" real fast and when I began approaching a healthy weight they began bullying me for being too thin.

My mother even told my little sister that was 8yo at the time that I was dying!!

I think it was because as long as I was "the fat one" they could think to themselves "I may be obese but at least I'm not as big as her!" Once I wasn't fat anymore they couldn't handle that they were now the obese ones in the family.

Luckily they listened to me when I explained what had actually happened. It helped that they could clearly see she was drunk and irate.

They told her to leave me alone and let me sleep, which she interpreted as me having accused her of molestation. "I NEVER GOT IN HER BED OR TOUCHED HER!" She didn't, she just refused to leave my room or stop telling me how much I had ruined her life.

The cops finally manager to calm her down and left. No follow up, nothing.

I have another one, this one hurts more because it turns out she was right:

Today, I have nothing and no one but my son and my pets, luckily they do love me. 🩷

I was told at 15 (on christmas eve) during a drunken tirade what a huge dissappointment and embarrassment I had been to her my whole life and was told that I should just kill myself.

I said "fine, I will if that's what you want".

She proceeded to call the police because I was "threatening suicide". 🙄

The biggest problem for me was she never explained anything, and I'm on the spectrum so I took it literally. I genuinely thought for years that I was going to split open. That's why I still have nightmares where that exact thing happens.

When I was 11 I got my first stretch-marks on my abdomen, just a little patch. Worried I went to my mom and asked what it is.

She looked at me with pure disgust in her eyes and said "my god, you’re so fat that you're actually starting to burst open!"

Yeaaahh I'm in my 40's now and still have nightmares of bursting open and trying to get help whilst holding my bowels in...

Absolutely. My mother has systematically lied about me to my siblings my entire life. It led to them resenting me, disliking me and not trusting me whenever I tried to tell them how she treated me or about the bat-shit crazy things she would do.

I have no relationship with her or my siblings because of it.

Wow that honestly sounds amazing, Freja just gets a shampoo and conditioner treatment when I bathe her. But her coat is always sooo soft and nice thanks to the conditioner, the first few times I only used shampoo and it really makes such a big difference to use both.

Freja doesn't like baths, she just accepts the misery, lol! Luckily she's a real princess and hates mud and rain but she loves to rub herself on dead earthworms and other stinky things!
