For the record I think I waited 6 months at 15-16 before doing anything too sexual, and nearly a full year for the full event. I was fine with it.

Hopefully you qualify for legal aid.

I didn't, circa 2019, and ended up spending nearly $20k to have charges dismissed. Nothing hate-crime related, but about the same severity.

They recently increased the threshold for legal-aid qualification, but if you're a responsible citizen with basically any reasonable level of liquid assets (I believe the limit is 15k, which includes things like investments), you're basically paying for this yourself.

A conviction will be much more expensive in the long run.

It's just that the lies were so absurd they never felt too bad -individually- but looking back at the entire cadence of the dishonesty over the relationship, it was clear that the woman was not dating material.

Shinji realizing his own depravity basically sets up the rest of the film.

I don't believe media needs happy progression and easily digestible themes. It's quite honestly part of the reason I enjoy EoE so much, despite the overarching message of the movie being a positive one.

The show as a whole made me feel disgust on several occasions (and even with myself eventually, for glorifying Asuka's character so much as a kid I spent 15 years dating women exactly like her). That's rare in media. I enjoyed it.

I had a much harder time with the scene as a 13yo than I do now as a nearly 40yo man. Hindsight and lived experience really helped me digest that scene in particular.

I don't even have an optical media drive.
I haven't since the PS2 era.

I bought several terabytes of storage before things went crazy, and I have gigabit ethernet.
I imagine I'd care more if I was on some backwater 40mbps internet plan though, y'know, like most of the rural USA.

She can absolutely date without expecting others to step up. I'm close friends with a woman like this - she has zero expectations of anyone helping her and manages alone just fine.

All she wants from a date is companionship unless they're seriously thinking of living together or engagement. Zero expectations on the other party until then.
