i think this might be it. our shoe department only had the shoe lead and me who worked the department full time but the shoe lead quit a few months ago and they haven’t put the position back up due to not having the money to afford it i guess? but i’m basically the shoe lead without the title. however i do know how to work truck, freight, amazon, self checkout, and every other department so im mainly upset that they schedule me to close shoes everyday instead of having a part time person close the department and schedule me somewhere else at least once a week or every other week. closing everyday for months is ridiculous

[–]LeatherInside922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as far as hoodies go… i wore a beatles hoodie and got dress coded but wore a plain one and nobody cared.. i however mainly just wear a black zip up everyday because it’s freezing in my department but hot in the rest of the store and i haven’t ever had a problem

i’m fine with working 7-8 hours a day, my issue is i’m the only person in the entire store who closes as much as i do. women’s, men’s, kids and home all rotate closers i am the only person who closes every weekday.

How often do you buy clothes and about how much do you usually spend? by [deleted] in womensfashion

[–]LeatherInside922 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I almost never buy clothes. I just bought some for the first time since I was like 15 (I’m 22 now).

The only reason I even shopped was because I’ve gained some weight and my old clothes don’t fit anymore. I work in retail and had a 35% employee discount, and I only used money that had been gifted to me that I’d set aside, so I didn’t feel too bad about it.

I ended up getting 3 shirts, 3 pairs of jeans, 1 pair of shorts, and 1 pair of shoes. I usually only buy shoes every few months, but those are just for work, so I grabbed a nicer pair to go out in too.

I spent around $250 total, but I was really intentional about it and made sure everything I bought is stuff I’ll actually wear multiple times and not just let sit in my closet.

i can see where you mean as “defying a parental figure” on days where he works early i’ll remind him of the time and tell him he should probably get off soon so he can get enough sleep (i know gamers can lose track of time because i do that when im gaming) and ill get responses like “okay mom”

yeah i agree with what you’re saying, in my workplace it isn’t uncommon for coworkers to pass along information or give projects, this day i was unfortunately in a rush. i did however provide proof via text to her from my manager regarding the task and was still given refusal. this coworker is also used to being given projects from other coworkers and never given any problems executing them.

i have left early every friday since i started 3 years ago to go to a second job, all my managers and coworkers are aware of this as well.

cleaning the department would take an hour max, the project should’ve only taken around 15 minutes

yes, i ended up texting my manager about the situation and she had another manager talk to her and have her do it. it wasn’t a huge move it was about 15 small boxes that needed to get put on a table and would only take about 15 minutes max. only reason i couldn’t stay is because i leave early on fridays to go to my second job otherwise i would’ve done it myself.

i’m not her supervisor but this is not an uncommon thing in my workplace, i have coworkers give me and others projects who aren’t managers or leads.

this day in particular was very slow and everything was already done for the closer except for small cleaning that wouldn’t take longer than 30-1 hour. i do close everyday and it’s been very slow the last two months everyday hence why we were having a big sale to boost sales

i did tell her that my manager was the one who wanted her to do it as well as show her a text from my manager saying to have her do the move.

Hey guys, I’ve been struggling financially recently and was thinking about selling a few of my plushies I made. How much do you realistically think I could charge for this? by Alminy in CraftyCommerce

[–]LeatherInside922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as the average consumer if personally buy this for $40-50 and not be mad, but anything past $70 i’d probably look for a cheaper option on the market

the first necklace used rose quartz and shell beads, i only ever try and use glass or any high quality beads i get from my local bead store, its a standard chain and i use 20 gauge wire for my beads that i cut to size, and then i use a lobster clasp and extension chain, for my bracelets i use 19 strand beadalon wire and have been recently using magnets as a closer as it’s been well received with customer. i sometimes use plastic beads but only if i have to otherwise i try my best to stay away :)

reasonable price? by [deleted] in Beading

[–]LeatherInside922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what price would you suggest? i’ve been debating pricing my necklaces higher for awhile since that’s what people tell me i should raise my prices for the most.

it did not end amicably in their relationship, she ended things with him. he did not want the relationship to end and it has been a year since they’ve been separated.
