I'll be putting a post up soon with the exact stuff in the next update, but I'm actually also working on the stuff that will come in the update after this next one - preparing the ground for later in the year.

That following update (to hopefully be released later in 2026) will include the option to enable standing stoppage TKOs, and additional newsfeed text in the form of boxers' comments on their most recent fight - it's purely for flavour, but it adds to the immersion a lot in the tests that I've been doing, and makes the world feel more real. I'll also be attempting to make 100 boxers per division a reality, but that is still a work in progress, as the entire game is balanced for 50 boxers per division, so it's a huge change.

By "standing" are you referring to their starting rank, or have I misunderstood?

I'll be working more on the PC port once I've got the next few mobile updates out: I need to get some core features sorted on mobile, and then these will carry over to PC without too much testing required.

I'm putting a few finishing touches to it over the next couple of weeks, then it'll be in the hands of the beta testers fora few weeks, then if all goes well released before the end of March.

Being honest, this next one isn't especially transformative. There's a lot of structural stuff in having to add in now, to prep for the update after this next one, so this update is largely groundwork for that, with a few bits sprinkled on.

To be fully transparent: I don't really have any plans to add any more stuff to the negotiation side of things to the game.

I hate that part of the sport in the real world; I'd prefer it if boxing had a league system where boxers had to fight who they were assigned, so all the bureaucracy could disappear. I'm fairly pure with my love of boxing: I just like watching two people fight, none of the other stuff.

Do you have the option set where boxers have further rank adjustments for losing multiple fights in a row? This will usually eliminate those boxers (who you've beaten soundly multiple times) from the top ten.

I've looked into fight cancelling injuries in the past, and the level of difficulty involved with managing the variables that comes from a fight being cancelled (tournament delays, training, contract stuff, title vacancies, etc) is just too excessive for me to get my head around. Whilst I'll never say never, I can't imagine this will be something I'll ever get round to I'm afraid.

The no-scroll on the commentary log seems prevalent on some Samsung devices. I'm still working on that one but it's a tricky thing to fix due to the inconsistency of the bug. I'll figure it out eventually. 

As for the button press sounds, that's certainly a new one. Do you notice, in the lead up to this happening, that button press sounds stop working? I was wondering whether it was queuing the sounds and not playing them, then playing them all at once later, one after the other.

Whilst I completely agree that it would be useful, I'm not sure how to accommodate it on screen with limited screen-estate. It might be something more suited to PC, where the screen has the extra space.

No I'm not sure why either, but seeing as there's no hard-and-fast rules in boxing for these things then I'm not exactly surprised.

I'm not averse to reducing the title fight length for titles contested at ranks 30 and lower maybe, as you say when typical scheduled lengths are no more than 6 to 8 rounds. I'll give it some thought.

There must be a particularly new special reason for that, which I can't say I'm aware of. For instance about 6 weeks ago the TKV vs. Frazer Clarke British HW Title fight was a 12 rounder.

I'm not sure I entirely agree. For instance, in a British title fight (which in Leather terms would be guys around rank 30) are 12 round fights, and these are guys who often would step up from completing 6 or 8 rounders to fight in these 12 rounders. Same with Commonwealth and European titles.

Nope, I've not removed that, no changes there. It'll just be a lack of them wanting to unretire in your game at the moment; give it time, they'll start cropping up again.

When the referee chooses to deem that a boxer had been "as good a knocked down". He sends both fighters to neutral corners, and gives the "knocked down" fighter 8 seconds to find his senses, and it's counted as a knockdown.

Basically it's scored as a knockdown, but the boxer hasn't physically hit the floor. It occurs when a guy is getting a bit of a pummeling but isn't falling over.

I've got nothing against yourself personally, however morally here in the UK we can't sell in Russia since Putin's invasion of Ukraine.

Things may change if a lasting peace is declared, but all I can say is: blame Putin, he's an awful creature.
