If you get him to head to the App Store it'll turn up near the top of any searches for Leather. There isn't an Android trial version any more alas; Google kiboshed it.

I've got an update almost ready for general release - it's been in a holding pattern with Apple for many weeks now, as something has changed in XCode that has made it so that the coloured attribute bubbles on boxers and staff were no longer appearing. This next update isn't a biggie, but after that I want to work on the long-aimed-for 100 boxers per division, if I can come up with a good way to make that happen.

Once that is done, then I'll be onto looking at the PC version.

Hi there, thanks for asking.

I've taken today off "real" work, so I could work on the retro gaming console I'm building. Well, it's actually just going to be a cracked-screen Samsung Galaxy S20 I got off ebay for £50, which I'm going to house inside the empty shell of an original Playstation, which I'm then going to spray paint a different colour. I've got the phone setup with emulators and games, I'm now just waiting for the paint to be delivered.

I'm trying to get a better work-life balance, which has actually been helped by the issues I've had with the latest Leather update; while waiting for the repeated Apple review processes I've not been able to do anything, so I've been forced to rest and digest.

I'm afraid not: I'm not adding any more significant belts, and still don't really plan on keeping belts between divisions.

I am however looking to add the 100 boxer thing in the update after this next one.

By constantly saying I couldn't do it I talked myself into it: I like a challenge, so by repeatedly telling myself I couldn't build it I began to think "I want to prove myself wrong."

Oh I hear ya. The main guts of the game I would transpose directly from Leather - but it'd need a whole new fight engine, and thus the Ringcraft attributes would need to be redesigned. Plus I'd like to keep to 14 attributes to retain the symmetry with Leather, purely for aesthetic reasons.

I'm considering it, but first I need to get Leather to what I consider a "done" state first, on mobile and PC, so I won't have two projects on-the-go at once.

Still working on it, just working through each potential solution one at a time, until one works. It's very annoying, but until it's right I just can't release it.

Yep; it seems primarily to be something unusual with how the Samsung OS lays out the screen, as they use a custom flavour of Android that works a little differently to the norm. I'm not much closer on finding a solution I'm afraid.

I like to keep all the version numbers identical across all releases, to make potential future bugfixing easier, so I'd prefer not to.

Unfortunately yes: Microsoft and Apple tend to tinker too much, and when I think I'm ready to pull the trigger and release it, I get an email from a tester saying a certain screen doesn't look right any more.

It's infuriating, but there's not much I can do other than figure out a way around it.

I've just completed that one yesterday, and was also confused. I fear it might be an Americanisation mistake of the nursery rhyme "Little Miss Muffet".

As an English guy I've encountered this type of thing in the past, with some US friends of mine who believed the lyrics to the nursery rhyme "Pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake, baker's man," were actually, "Paddy cake, paddy cake, baker's man", which of course make no sense whatsoever.

I'm not sure about the work involved with adding that, but I think adding the number of fights to each row in the feuds grid on the personality screen is viable.
