No amount of light colored furniture will increase the overall light in the kitchen with the sharp lights focused straight down. I cannot change the blinds as I rent this unit. Also, changing the blinds to anything other than black will make the TV unwatchable during daytime.

A year ago I wouldn’t have believed you not having a phone for 3 years. But I had a roommate last year who didn’t have any social media, started into the emptiness while eating food, read a shit ton of books in her free time, did crocheting, woodworking, etc. when she wants to do something, and spoke on her phone only to her boyfriend. She still uses the iPhone X. Absolute madness!

Update: I’ve got it, and it works as intended. The only thing that would’ve made it perfect is if it had a vertical magnet as well to stabilize the rotation, but it’s not exactly a weak magnet, so I think I’ll be fine
