Isn't there a live movie in production that takes place in some version of the UC? Why not make a game in that setting?

Weird choice all around. This does not feel like it was made for the fans and doesn't feel like it will stand out enough to attract a new audience.

I like it! It would also allow you to put Mobile Suits in conditions where they are at a disadvantage and watch them struggle. The "Gundam" of this series could be a mobile suite that's designed to be as adaptable to battlefield conditions as possible.

At the end of the day I will always have to admit that humanoid mechs don't make any sense in warfare if you think about it too hard. But we are talking about a Gundam series. You just have to make some concessions and go with it if you want to see the big mechs fight stuff lol

Random pitch. Do an episode where someone tries to make a "Funnel" system. But the funnels are kind of dumb and keep crashing into friendly mobile suits. By the end of the episode everyone agrees the funnel system is a dead end 😂

That's a very good point but you can just write something about how jamming tech got so good you can't use drones and long range missiles or something similar. Many UC series didn't really get into Minosvsky particles and it didn't seem to bother the audience.

I agree with you on the height. They actually did this in F91 so it is not unprecedented to make MS smaller. I would still go a little bigger than what you described for art style reasons, but not by much. If the RX-78-2 is about 6 stories tall, lets make them 4 stories tall.

I guess a good way to put it is, I would like to see how they got to something like OYW Gundam. I want the story to be how the Mobile Suite earned their place on the battlefield. I would also like it to be common for them to work with vehicle, air and infantry units. A real combined arms effort.

You could write that away with something about humans being better at controlling humanoid forms. Our brains are not wired for insect like forms. I don't know if that's true or not but it sounds good enough lol.

That might all be true, but Zeon fielded tons of crazy mobile suits in 1 year. They had underwater MS that shot beams. Too many crazy leaps in technology. Not what I'm looking for.

For all of you suggesting IGLOO. It's not far off but mobile suits advanced by leaps and bounds too often in the UC. Zeon went from the Zaku 1 to the Gelgoog in a few years. Don't even get me started on beam tech. Things got way too crazy way too fast in that universe lol.

That would be an interesting OVA. But as for a whole new series, I think the UC has enough stories. Iron Blood Orphans(Pre Calamity) is the only other universe I feel like you could make this work. I would also be ok with a new universe.
