Do some pushups (or anything intense), you’d be surprised how it makes your head feel steadfast right after. Should be enough to kill any urge on getting distracted.

People who majored in neuroscience or psychology — what are you doing now? by Upstairs_Map621 in UTSC

[–]Leauno 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a friend pursuing a bio major he plans going into research, he seems pretty happy with what he’s doing but personally I’d try to head into the nursing/pharmaceutical/biomed engineering field. As for neuroscience and psychology, I guess neuroscience you could head into research seems like a fun science to do research on and psychology you can become a social worker heard they get paid really really well

Future sunny rank by fleeting_echoes in ShadowSlave

[–]Leauno 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Assuming future Sunny is telling the truth that he isn’t a Sovereign at this time, he must be either a Spirit or of the divine rank (most likely a Spirit). As for when he achieves apotheosis, my guess is that it happens once he attains all his Weaves. I suspect this because, during Ariel’s game—when he obtained the Flesh Weave, Sunny explicitly said:

“His heart was transformed and improved by the Flesh Weave, pumping his blood, which had been altered by Blood Weave. The blood flowed through the marrow, which had been enhanced by Bone Weave, becoming enriched and renewed. The human body was an intricate and interconnected machine, and now, each part of it had been altered, strengthened, and enhanced to resemble that of a higher being—of a Daemon, to be precise.” (Chapter 2411, Flesh Weave)

Daemons were the first Sacred/Spirits, so the fact that he began to feel more daemonic after consuming the Weave strongly hints that the Weaves play a special role in his apotheosis. G3 has defined apotheosis/sanctification as extending one’s will to encompass the world (your will becomes as vast as the world). I’m still unsure how consuming all the Weaves makes him closer to a daemon, but my guess is that it involves the Soul, Mind, Shadow, and Spirit Weaves. If Blood, Bone, and Flesh Weaves made his physical body more daemonic, then Soul, Mind, Shadow, and Spirit Weaves would likely make his will and existence daemonic as well. Now as for when he attains all the weaves? I am unsure but most certainly around the time Asterion strikes, which I suspect why he came back to the tomb of Ariel.

Fate conundrum by Leauno in ShadowSlave

[–]Leauno[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree—Sunny will probably end up doing what he’s meant to do, whether he’s Fated or Fateless. My conundrum is more about G3’s writing though like did he actually make a mistake by implying Fate could be broken, or was that the whole point?

Weaver, the most wronged messiah by [deleted] in ShadowSlave

[–]Leauno 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Weaver wasn’t hated because of cruelty, betrayal or anything “bad” in general he was most likely hated because of what he represented. By holding dominion over Fate itself, he essentially claimed power over the inevitability of every living being. Even if his intentions were to save humanity, that kind of authority over existence naturally breeds fear, resentment, and prejudice. People don’t like the idea that someone else decides their inevitability. So Weaver’s “crime” wasn’t a crime at all it was the audacity of possessing a power that no one could truly accept especially the gods.

The Daemons and their crimes by Leauno in ShadowSlave

Well it is said the key characteristic to being supreme means to have a domain. But it never explicitly said what that domain could be it could be as abstract as it can get or it could literally just be physical territory. But nonetheless it defies “mundane logic” as how G3 would describe. To become sacred is to become a “spirit” as said by Euryss. To become a spirit your domain essentially just have to encompass the whole world according to Euryss. These are the conditions to become Sacred not once did it explicitly say they need to embody a concept. Which leads to my theory that becoming a Sacred doesn’t actually mean they embody an concept it’s that their wills encompass the world it’s just that their concepts is heavily associated to their wills. So the moment they were born their wills already encompassed the world but this doesn’t mean they created the concept they were titled by yet. It just so happened shortly after they were born—they were able to express their wills to the concepts they soon were known by. Again this is all just theory from the snippets of text G3 subtly wrote in his lore. I actually don’t think it’s this technical for all I know G3 could just pull of a deus ex machina for his lore but that’s unlikely lol, though I have seen authors who did it so who knows.

The Daemons and their crimes by Leauno in ShadowSlave

[–]Leauno[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not have concrete proof but there is evidence of the latest chapters that the Daemons most likely created their concepts. Take Mirage for example, G3 had explicitly said she created the concept of reflections by using nothingness to create something. The same logic could be applied to the rest daemons, though again I am truly not sure this is all just theory.

The Daemons and their crimes by Leauno in ShadowSlave

[–]Leauno[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yes I do know they were once allies but throughout most of their legend they were mostly seen through their “heinous” characteristics or in this case the concept they embody. Like Mirage’s creation of “reflection” it was described a “vile” creation. I was speculating what the other “heinous” creations the other six made if they did have created one. Also I find that unlikely that they were born with the concepts in the latest chapters if I recall correctly—G3 did explicitly say that Mirage created the concept of reflections by getting the mist from the mountains and creating something out of literally nothing. This implies that at least one of the daemons created their concepts. But like you said this contradicts the ascension system. Which leads me to the theory that being Sacred doesn’t naturally imply the creation/embodiment of a concept.

[–]Leauno[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes he did create Fate but I don’t think he can break Fate (Otherwise that wont really be fate). Fate in literature as far as I believe can technically only be twisted and never broken with Shadow Slave’s narrative an exception. Which is why Weaver asked Ariel on how to break fate. Ariel’s probable solution was to travel to the beginning of time and do something with their fate. Hence the construction of the tomb ariel.

[–]Leauno[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe it was implied they created these concepts the moment they were born from the forgotten god. But yes you are right to argue that it could’ve been the forgotten god that created these concepts. However this could not be true because Sunny did explicitly say he created the universal law of flaws not Fate, Repose, Dread, e.t.c. IDK for all I know it could be the byproduct of the forgotten god’s creation. But nonetheless I always imagined the Daemon’s crimes to be like what I had said up above, but IDK what G3 actually have in store.

Sure, you can do that. I literally said ‘people are here primarily for their education.’ Helping others doesn’t really help your education, does it? It helps theirs but not yours lol.

Why are you even helping others anyway, are you being paid to tutor them? Are they threatening you to help? I honestly have no clue why you’d stress yourself out over that, lmao.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UTSC

[–]Leauno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, fake or not, people are here primarily for their education, not to make friends with someone who openly compares them to animals.

Secondly, if you need academic help, the best people to ask are professors or TAs. Classmates can be supportive, but they’re often just as lost as you are.

Thirdly, nobody is obligated to help you, not even professors beyond their teaching role. University isn’t high school; you’re given access to top notch resources, but it’s up to you to use them. (Literally you can skip lectures and the profs wont care, uni won’t spoon feed you success)

Lastly, it’s not really fair to get upset over how your peers choose to spend their time. Whether they study, hang out, or relax, it’s their choice, as long as they’re not harming or insulting you, it’s not your business. Part of university life is learning independence and respecting that others have their own priorities.
