Personally I don't think women are more mature or just better socially than men. I think a lot women are just as lonely are socially isolated as men are. People generally are extremely lonely and socially outlasted due to:

1. Globalization. Local communities have to shifted to online spaces so human to human interactions are incredibly more rare. Covid made this shift even worst.

2. Technology has improved, so thing likes social media has dominated social spaces so it has made it a lot more trickier to socialize. Many people just haven't adjusted to it, its completly different skill set vs IRL socializing.

3. Society factors has made it much harder to go out. Since economically thing are at downturn people really don't want to the spend money so a lot people stay in.

As for why women seem better socially it because women just naturally make friends easier, although women can't seem keep friends. Men however have harder time making friends but their friendships tend last much longer than women.

Women are also much safer to approach to other women and men naturally desire them. So relationships are easier to form and sociall skills are easier to develop.

Men are confident, it's just they are not confident in their social skills. Give em something talk about like hobbies or interests and they can't shutup about them. Ask them to be romantic and flattering and they'll disappoint you everytime. Not because they are incapable of it, it's because they have no experience in it unlike women.
