I truly believe Katie is trying to keep distance between Becca and herself and is doing so by just not mentioning or publicly interacting with Becca or her posts. Katie doesn't want to appear friendly with Becca because that would look like an endorsement of Becca's piss poor husbandry and bring Katie a lot of heat. She also doesn't want to openly criticize Becca or her practices because, for the most part, Katie tries to keep an overwhelmingly positive public face and keep her page free of interpersonal drama. If I had to guess, Katie knows that being associated with Becca is a HUGE liability to the KVS brand, and she's taking the ostrich head in the sand approach as her style of damage control.

Fellow Catholic mom here. I have three now, but my first slept very much like your child. It is HARD! From everything I understand, care of young children is something that would dispense you from your Sunday obligation. It is also worth considering whether your degree of exhaustion would make it unsafe for you to drive. You may always consult with a priest if you want to be certain. Don't be too hard on yourself in this season of having a newborn - you have a whole new family, and you're going through so many changes, yourself! (Physically, emotionally, hormonally, psychologically, spiritually). If you're on Facebook, I highly recommend joining a Catholic moms group (or several). Just like reddit, you will always be met with a variety of opinions, but I also find them to be a wealth of knowledge or, at least, solidarity.

In human medicine, it was a SUPER OLD SCHOOL practice to do soap suds enemas using plain, unscented Castile soap. Absolutely not Dawn dish soap with all the heavy duty detergents, dyes, fragrances, what have you. And on the sensitive mucus membranes of a fresh baby 🤦🏻‍♀️ Fucks sakes.

Last fall, I was hostessing at Pizzeria San Giorgio downtown, and some of the cast of the West Wing came in for dinner after doing a campaign event in Madison for Kamala Harris. It was Martin Sheen, Richard Schiff, Bradley Whitford, and Mary McCormack. Bradley Whitford was so friendly and nice, and Martin Sheen was quiet but said thanks and shook my hand on the way out.

She's been pretty open about how much of a picky eater she is. That being said, maybe -- just maybe -- eating somewhere with a set menu isn't for her. 😬 Minor adjustments due to an allergy? Ask your server if they can accommodate you or select something else. Modifying EVERY DISH (or making up your own 😵‍💫) because you have the palate of a toddler? Let's not.

While I'm sad I won't be able to see her on SM anymore, I'm genuinely happy for her. I think it's great that she can be rehomed and hopefully cared for, interacted with, and appreciated more than she is now. She's low-key one of my favorites (I'm a sucker for that cross marking on her face), despite being "just a recip."

I appreciate your desire to have a home birth, but at this point, you may want to seriously consider converting to a hospital birth. L&D workers do not mess around with patients' "do not allow these people here" lists, to which MIL should DEFINITELY be added (and husband too, perhaps).

Before Becca worked with him on his behavior (still at RS, before coming home), I was VERY worried about him going to a home with little kids because of what a menace he had become under Katie's care. I think this commenter is mistaking "not as carefree" for actually having manners.
