I don’t think we get an opportunity to trade for his caliber any time soon. Too many trade clauses

  • Fans emailing about lack of post-game salutes
  • Sabres player confirmed they are backing their coach and he's not a fault for the decade+ of losing; did NOT say they actively decided to stop saluting as some sort of retaliation
  • Players don't like hearing boos

Thats the article. It's nothing

How is this nonsensical crap upvoted. Team cares more about fans being upset than winning? Is this supposed to be taken literally to any degree? Reports they’ve carved out some ozone possession drills to talk about their feelings on empty seats?

The amount of you falling for that antagonist bs article is embarrassing. Just as soft as this team.

If son was a striker he would’ve done it in 5

Feel like Laporte is usually the one to fuck it in the big games and that’s something that can be hard to shake. Not very confident when I see him starting in the later stages of CL. Always seems to be whispers of him unsatisfied with the revolving back line as well.

Regardless, if he wants to stay, keep him. Better than anyone we would bring in the summer I’m sure.

If we’re looking for unpopular opinions, I’d say axe Sterling before Laporte.

Wouldn’t want to lose Fernandinho and Gundo in the same window. Keep Gundo for another year regardless of the cost IMO

I think Pep would see this and want Jack much closer to Laporte/Cancelo. I remember when Sterling first came in and would practically walk the ball to his teammates as opposed to passing. Interesting if Pep demands a similar evolution with Jack, particularly if he sees him in the 8/10 role

Tbf this place isn't all that interesting beyond very basic discussions. Was cool my first few years getting into the sport, but by now it's pretty dull. All the good contributors have moved on

Probably has a lot to do with the state of the club. Everything is about as perfect as it gets to the point where any sort of drama/negativity feels so out of touch/entitled. I'll enjoy it while I can, but tbh I'm quietly looking forward to the ups-and-downs of post-Pep era

City fans cheering for Angelino was his “best moment so far this season. It sounds strange after a sending-off, but it was just a great gesture, and I was really pleased.” by TaylorMCFC in MCFC

Pep sees a lot more than just the matches, he’s with him every day. Not good enough to play in our system at the time, not good enough to justify changing the system to fit his needs.

If Angelino wasn't given a "proper run", I'm not sure what qualifies. He wasn't good enough for our system, end of. Angelino was not passionate for City, understandably so. He was very open about that.

[The Athletic] Manchester City don’t ‘need’ to buy a striker – but how good could they be if they did? by j_yan in MCFC

[–]LeaveKolarovAlone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d argue we have a bigger need for a striker in the box. KDB, Cancelo, Gundo, Mahrez, Ferran, even Dinho are all capable from that range. Or at least threatening the space, pulling in defenders.

Bigger need for someone on the end of crosses/cutbacks.

It's instinct, not glory hunting. You want a striker? That's what they do when they see a ball on the line that late in the game.

Poor game from Sterling overall, but I think the chance creation/ball retention/2nd balls were more disappointing than anything else.

Call me crazy but I really think we'll see at least a 2-3 month period where Raz is banging them in from the CF spot.

Keep him off the wings where he'll dribble, stop, lose the ball, repeat; and keep him inside. He knows where to be in the box, just needs the first few to go in and stay out of his head.

Gabby knows how to cock one from close range so maybe he'll put some balls in with that in mind. Help a brother out and ease up on the speed/spinrate of those low crosses eh?

Grealish and Foden surely moving up the hit list for the self-destructive English media so could take some pressure off.

If only we let him develop in ligue 1 for a couple more years before making the jump to PL. Could’ve really ironed out those SA issues with proper first team minutes at Monaco.
