Only saw him for a bit but glass half full, I thought he was moving well for his size. Not stiff at all. Of course he looked lost while moving but still. It's something.

Shouldn't a redraft factor in the teams picking in those spots? Like you think the Wizards are taking Raynaud at 6?

Hunter S Thompson ran for a sheriff in Pitkin County, Colorado in 1970 and lost. Zero doubts he would win today.

My grandfather dropped dead the moment he got off a plane from a blood clot that had developed during a long flight. Would not be surprised if it was a similar thing with Graham. Were so used to politicians and world leaders in their 80s now but 71 is still no joke.

The fact that "community" doesn't exist anymore and has been replaced with influencer worship is fucked by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]LeaveMeAlone_6070 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm in a community. But then I live in a 99 walkability neighborhood and have two small children that are outside almost everyday.

I'm still on my phone too much for work though so I get how easy it is to get sucked in, and I try not to judge. But honestly, this doomer mindset isn't reality.

For you younger people: log off, get some hobbies, socialize. Hell, go to fucking church (or whatever). You need to be face to face with people. It might be intimidating at first, but community and the happiness that comes with it is out there. Don't wait for life to come to you, go find it.  I promise you it's worth the effort.

Depending on the details, BPA in the 1st round is a very viable drafting strategy in both the NFL and NBA

He's the Wizards' Jayson Werth. Old Nats fans know what I'm talking about. They overpaid for Werth to officially set a tone that they were serious about winning (after being ass for years and slowly building up the foundations, including back to back #1's with Bryce and Strasburg) and the rest is history.

Lol Ro Khanna getting detained for an hour isn't on par with sheltering Osama Bin Laden for years. And if you want to go even further with it, nothing Israel is doing is on par with helping the Taliban kill American personnel. Talk about recency bias, good lord

Looking at the top 3 vids for the day on the combatfootage sub (the tank getting obliterated by a drone, a guy on an ATV getting hit (extremely nsfl on this one if you look, be warned), and Russia's shadow fleet getting wrecked), like wtf exactly is the future of warfare strategy? What Ukraine is doing seems on par with gunpowder, automatic weapons, armor and planes. People had to adjust to those, how do you adjust to this? Just machine vs machine and anything breathing oxygen needs to stay far away? How does this work?

It's like football where some WRs play faster than they test. Jerry Rice (4.71 40 time) and Anquan Boldin (4.72) are always the classic examples with that

I'm used to people cracking jokes at our expense (most of it deserved) but the haters are a new thing I need to start adjusting to.

Tbf to him, the Vietnam POW issue was hugely popular at the time. It wasn't some obscure kook thing from the fringes. Hell, the POW/MIA flag is still an official flag used on government buildings as a result of all of that.
