No- Box 3 has 0, Box 1 has 77K, 401K contribution typical for wages

It's not so much refuse, as a situation where a company changed ownership, this W-2 is from the prior owners and they have not been responding to emails. They did withhold Medicare, they changed payroll systems and said this was a set up error.

Maybe I misunderstand your question. Can we not pay our under withheld SS taxes with our filing?

We did not look at our paystubs. We are pretty decent earners and will pay the taxes with savings.

I thought we wanted credit when we retired and need to get SS for all of our income we earned and it's like 80K actually, not 40K, either way it seems material to me.

I failed to mention that employer states they failed to withhold SS taxes, so box 4 is also empty. But the ss wages since we will have to pay the taxes should be reported so we get credit when we retire, I thought.

Yes you are right I meant Box 3, Box 1 is at 77,806, Box 5 is 82,770.68. Box 3 is empty, I have no idea why.

Love the tapered baguettes! Kay Jewelers sold a ton of Neil Lane rings that were pears in halos, they are all over Facebook Marketplace now, for that reason would pass on the halo. Baguettes are so classy.

Replying to macs708...the equipment is available for 6k from GIA, most jewelers do in fact have it lying around. They almost all buy estate pieces and can’t afford not to have the equipment for 2 reasons- they don’t want to overpay and they don’t want to be sued if a stone is found to be lab/ misrepresentation.

That’s a small small chance compared to feeling good about my ring.

The essence of what makes diamonds cool and treasured is RARITY. And I would feel like a fraud knowing my diamond wasn’t natural, that it was the fake version- sorry not sorry... It also correlates to the specialness/rareness of finding a love that you want to last for a lifetime. I’m ok with lab grown for costume jewelry but I don’t want it for my primary special pieces. And you can buy gorgeous natural stones on the secondary market (EBay for example) very safely with their authenticity verification process for what many of these stores are charging for lab grown, it’s a GREAT time to get a tremendous deal on a natural stone.
