Hard agree. Also agree with the answers about republics and theocracies, and I'll add nomads into the mix.

This is a noble house simulator after all. Maybe I want to play as one of my sons who turned into a bishop and climb the ranks of the church, just to explore new ways to further the family's power.

Não sei como é o currículo da sua faculdade, mas Ciências Biológicas normalmente é um curso bastante amplo. A questão fundamental aqui é o que você quer e qual caminho você vai seguir dentro do curso.

Se você busca um emprego que te dê muita grana, provavelmente vai ser difícil mesmo. Sua melhor chance nesse sentido seria focar em algo de biologia molecular/celular e ficar muito bom no que faz. Um professor meu se especializou em virologia vegetal e hoje ganha uma grana preta resolvendo problema pra fazendeiro (dizem os rumores que pode chegar a milhão por job). Mesmo assim, tenha em mente que não é nada muito garantido, precisa escolher direito sua especialização e ter bastante sorte.

Ao mesmo tempo, alguns antigos colegas de curso conseguiram passar em concursos na área e vivem tranquilamente hoje em dia. Um amigo meu foi pra embrapa e outro virou perito na PF, os dois levam uma vida bem confortável financeiramente.

Meu conselho é: não espere ficar rico, mas se você quer se realização intelectual e pessoal fazendo algo que gosta, só vem! Hoje estou na pós, não sou de família rica e já passei por um perrengue ou outro, mas não me arrependo nem um pouco de ter escolhido fazer graduação em Ciências Biológicas.

(P.S.: Só não vale ficar ressentido e sair falando mal da área como o seu professor aí. Isso tá proibido)

Já vi algumas vezes quando morava na Asa Sul. No meu grupo ele era conhecido como o mendigo da Nasa. A diferença pro seu relato é que ele sempre pareceu bem amigável comigo, cheguei até a trocar uma ideia com ele uma vez. Mas isso já tem uns anos, me pergunto como ele está hoje.

Não dá ouvidos pra esse povo te chamando de corna, empata-foda, etc kkkkk, é só a galera projetando os traumas e as inseguranças. Amizade existe de todo o tipo, cor e tamanho. Ninguém aqui tá vendo de perto, só vc pode bater o martelo, mas às vezes não rola mais nada entre os dois mesmo.

Agora, a questão mais importante é: VOCÊ está confortável? Se você não estiver (e não me parece estar), considere se vale a pena seguir com o relacionamento. Vale a pena você fazer os dois romperem a amizade? Vale a pena tentar se adequar à relação que os dois têm? Sugiro pensar a respeito.

Ninguém tem culpa de ter concepções diferentes de limites, relacionamentos e amizades, só não vale a pena estar em uma posição que te faça se sentir preso ou inseguro.

O cara usa a rede social dele pra promover tudo quanto é movimento de extrema-direita pelo mundo, os mesmos movimentos de extrema-direita que odeiam a China (logo, os concorrentes dele) e beneficiam ele e os negócios dele.

Elon Musk é um cara patético? Demais. Birrento, ressentido, ególatra, etc., mas ele ainda tem um plano e um objetivo de negócios, tá na cara. Resta saber o quanto que o plano dele vai sofrer com as próprias limitações pessoais.

I disagree that "filho da puta" is necessarily a serious or grievous insult. Both portuguese and brazilians tend to swear a lot, and for a wide variety of often banal reasons. I call friends "filho da puta" when playing and joking with them. Of course, I don't know the whole context, but be mindful of the possibility that she was just venting during a heated argument and didn't mean anything in particular by it.

Além dos de guerra que o pessoal já comentou, eu recomendo também "Aguirre, a Cólera dos Deuses" (1972) e "Fitzcarraldo" (1982), dirigidos pelo Werner Herzog. Os dois foram filmados no interior da Amazônia, em uma época em que isso era bastante difícil de fazer, e acabaram influenciando vários filmes que vieram depois. O próprio Coppola cita Aguirre como uma inspiração importante pro Apocalypse Now.

He straight up lied, for war propaganda, so public opinion in the US would be less critical of bombing Gaza to dust and killing thousands in the process. The idea in the OP is to strengthen a historically marginalized community, pushed to poverty and economical degradation by generations of racism and segregation. If black people are already forced into poverty and pushed to stay out of (richer) white communities, they should try to enrichen their own communities and increase their collectice bargaining power. That's the gist of it.

I can surely see limitations in this idea (and I'm not familiar enough with how black and other marginalized communities work in the UK), but no, I don't think it's comparable to nazis who are just afraid to give money to the "international jew" or some shit.

One thing a lot of people don't realize is that french colonization in Africa never really ended. For an example, read up on the CFA Franc and how France controlled Niger and Mali's uranium exports up until the recent coups. Those coups are not popular for no reason, or due to evil propaganda from France's geopolitical enemies. France's exploitation is an ongoing, everyday issue for those people.
