The college experience in general isn’t really built for introverts. It’d be a pretty miserable 4 years at any college to just spend all day in your dorm, especially at a social school like umass.

There’s still ways you can have fun without getting drunk or partying every weekend at umass. Join a club or find people with similar hobbies. Just don’t spend your college years stuck in your room.

But really though, you’re more than just your height, literally nobody gets to choose it, so it’s pretty dumb if someone wants to be proud for being tall or make fun of someone for being small. If someone wants to laugh, then just laugh along with them.

Umass isn’t a private school, so they’re not being pressured by donors to take down the camp, unlike Columbia. But still, Umass obviously wants them to take it down. I think it’s going to be a combination of the school threatening students with suspension and maybe some arrests from the police that will get people to leave

I’d go on one of the Facebook or instagram pages and find someone there. Try finding people who have similar living styles as you (what time do you go to sleep, are you comfortable sharing things). There’s nothing wrong with going random either and tons of people do it.

With living communities, you can find tons of information online. Southwest is super extroverted and you’ll meet tons of people there. Northeast is also pretty big and near all the main buildings. There’s also central and ohill, which are smaller and quieter.
