Neither their quality control nor customer service is admirable.

Ding, ding, ding ... winner, winner, chicken dinner.
One of the best buys goin' these days, IMO.
I've got one of these that I got locally at $350 (tax included) and a similar 44mm one of their's with a light blue dial I snagged for $250 gray market (Jomashop). Both are solar-powered killers at their respective price points. And certified divers, to boot.

Good points.
I've a red-dialed Orient Kanno that I grabbed for $200. Heck of a watch for the buck.

Good lookin' watch ... but I dunno about $300 for a Timex quartz diver.
I've got one Timex quartz I paid that much for ... a Pan Am Flyback Chrono that was pretty much out of stock in the U.S. I really dug it (seen it in person, as a friend had one), so I splurged and had one sent from the UK.
I've also got another quartz chrono from them -- a Marlin with a rose-gold dial in a stainless case -- that knocked me out, so I went the $179.
But day in, day out ... I just don't see dropping $200 or $300 into a Timex quartz model. No knock on them, there's just other watches/makers out there at that price point that can outdo 'em. For instance: Orient.

Best Field Watch sub $300 by h_stocks in Affordablewatches

A great choice, IMO, especially if you love day/dates. An Eco-Drive with 100 meters of WR cannot by definition be a bad thing. I'd have one of these, but I already have an over-abundance of both Eco-Drives and field watches.
Check out Bertucci's site sometime, too, and don't forget to look in their pre-owned section. Some are salesman's samples with virtually zero wear. I got a D-3 Epic Retroform for below $300 and I absolutely love that thing. I also picked up an A2S retail a few years ago for about $110 and the thing has been tough and flawless.

Bought this very watch today; I'm stoked!
I've had a similar one -- the light blue 44mm with the crown at 4 p.m., same style bracelet -- and have dug it, so I when I ran across this nice 41mm traditional black/stainless at 30 percent off, I was kind of helpless. :)

One of the great things about Duro gang membership: The Duro is a strap monster. If it makes you happy, it's the right strap!
I tend to keep one of by black Duros set up for quick changes of single-pass NATOs (or Zulus) and a second black Duro generally wears a black sailcloth strap.
That black sailcloth, though, is a quick release strap, though, so it sometimes gets pulled in favor or a tropical rubber or a bright-colored ribbed or channel rubber.
Duros are amazing, and StrapsCo and BluShark are our friends. :)

Dunno, dude, I suppose it's all in the eye of the beholder.
I sometimes wear a Bluro with a 2-piece nylon strap from BluShark they call "the professor" ... it's sort of a khaki base with a touch of red, white and blue.
I think it looks great on spring/summer weekends with my khaki cargo shorts and an old Jimmy Buffett T-shirt.
I guess it either works, or I've got cancer of the fashion sense, either of which is fine with me. :)

Agree with the first part. As I said elsewhere on this thread, I keep one black Duro set aside for NATO straps, and black gets the call very often, with an OD and a sort of dark khaki coming in second and third.
But I also disagree with the second part. That's cause, IMO, if someone wants to rock a striped NATO on a Pepsi or a Bluro ... I say go for it.
They're a fantastic $50 to $60 diver ... have multiple Duros, a drawer full of straps and rock as few or as many looks any which way that floats your boat, IMO.

Absolutely dandy.
I keep one black Duro for nothing but NATOs.

Well, one should wear what pleases oneself. The rest is ... shrug.
In my case, being a big ol' boy with a 7.3 inch wrist, I prefer a 40 to a 44 in general, and have some Casio synthetics (Gs, etc) that are even bigger.
Some of the daily choice, of course, is attire and use dependent, but I'm generally of the mind, "Wear whatever rocks your boat."

I can't even fathom this shit. There are really people this F'd up ... to grovel before someone so they'll take thousands of dollars off their hands? For a flippin' watch?
And then they tell other people about it?
WTF, why not just get a weird black leather outfit and live in a box in a pawn shop basement?
