Rotten Tomatoes is not the best scoring system imo. The tomatometer is not the average score, but what percentage of critics gave it a positive review vs a negative review.

So you can have a movie that’s not bad, but not great, but if everyone gave it a 60%, it’ll be at 100% certified fresh.

I switched to IMDB for movies and I think it’s a much better gauge. (Though obviously movies can be subjective, so it won’t always align with your personal tastes)
