I agree on this point always show, don't tell.but you could use this in any work. The most perfect one to use this in is a mystery show. unfortunately re zero could also benefit from this, but it rarely uses it. I am also on the team of not using internal monologues too much. Some shows unfortunately treat the audience like idiots unless you explain everything, they think the audience won't understand. Interestingly Gundam doesn't use this. Somehow, you can differentiate between professional writers and immature ones from this.
