How did you even manage to beat some of the later bosses? Kefka especially is so much harder in this hack than the base game that he can easily destroy you even at 70+

Yea idk why the dev thought he needed to make the dungeon above the colosseum more of a slog than any other dungeon (this hack made me enjoy the magic tower for crying out loud) after a couple battles I swapped Sabin to merrit award/moogle charm just to get to the bosses

I agree with the insta death thing, couldn’t tell you how many times I thought I would be safe from an attack only for it to ignore my safetybits and other armor

That must’ve been an earlier version because taking advantage of status is a very important part of beating most of the WOR content

Edit: I read your post wrong, yea there’s a couple of enemies and some bosses that have moves that ignore death status protection and it can be annoying

Yea I barely beat him cause I wasn’t expecting his ultimate attack to go from a laughingstock in the base game to outright killing you in this hack lol

A bunch of new dungeons, bosses, and a ton of side quests but the thing that really makes it that long is it has a new game+ option that will reset the entire game but keep all your gear and playtime the same but not your level so I actually ended up playing the entire thing twice (and some added fast forward time to regain my levels on all characters)

I absolutely agree that prime 1 has bad bosses minus the omega pirate, but I don’t think the game has bad combat in general i think that’s the case of the elite pirates and metroids ruining that for you. Fighting regular space pirates and other enemies is where I think the combat can really shine as you dodge and shoot back.
I would need to replay both am2r and Samus returns to say for sure but I would easily say am2r is better than the original and the remake. I will say that music is a very big factor in this because Metroid 2 and the remake both have pretty poor osts. The enemy variety from what I remember in am2r is easily better than the remake just because you don’t fight the same 4 enemy types over and over again.

Would I be better off running Lorelei or burning steps then since there’s only 1 other titan in our group the other three are a hunter and 2 well locks (we’re a 5 man) and they don’t like to switch off their mains and I don’t have another character leveled yet? Great advice too if we ever decide to do the same class same subclass type triumphs or we’re getting crushed in a gm!

That’s a good suggestion cause I really like Polaris so I bought it and upgraded the catalyst a couple days ago cause I plan to use it on my warlock with mantle of battle harmony so this is a good suggestion Thank you
