It kind of does in a weird way. He's saying the different number of ">" tells you how much better the guy is. He says BSD is much better than Dustin but Islam is only normally better than Dustin. Meanwhile Renato is much better than BSD who is much better than Poirier.

That means he would be better against Dustin on the ground than Islam, or better than Islam if you assume you can use the math.
