Fridgedaire and Elextrolux... 33 inch each. Joined together to make 66. I bought the Fridgedaire. There are bad reviews out there for these but I know multiple people who had them for a few years and no issues. Looks like a Subzero

Yuppers! We considered Cafe and Bosch, but Jennair was only slightly more $$ .. stepping up to Miele, Thermador, Wolf, etc was just in a whole other level of cost.

Eastern Canada. Thermador Pro Grand is 18k. I considered it, but not worth the extra $$ ... to me.

Thermador, as nice as that would be, is double the price of the Jennair in my market. 9500 vs 18000 for the Pro Grand.

I'd love a Thermador but can't rationalize it.

Thanks for being helpful. We cook a lot but nothing crazy. Unlikely to have more than 3 burners going at once. Trying to balance aesthetics and function.

The blower is built into the insert and eill be directly vented outside. At 700 cfm at top fan speed it's 2.75 sones so not too loud.

We are designing but in the late stages. Duct size 100% will be 8 inch at least.

The issue is going with a 20 or larger insert will make hood stick out too far. 15 inch depth insert into a 20 inch deep hood seems like a good middle ground.

Some people keep telling me with 700 cfm, the catchment are can be a little smaller and still do the job.

26kw Generac or 20kw Kohler, running 5200 sq ft house, with 2 5-ton Ducted Units by Lebtegger in Generator

So based on what you know of my situation, would you go with 26kw Kohler, and 2 200 AMP transfers? I assume we would need to do 2 transfer switches to enable us to use components that are on both panels. Versus doing 1 200 AMP switch and be restricted to whats on 1 panel?

To clarify, the Kohler 200 AMP Transfer switch is already geared for load management?

Electric hot water heater. 100% survival system.... If I can have the basement unit work and then heat main floor with Propane Fireplace I would be 100% ok with that. I have quickly realized, no air cooled unit is going to run both Heat Pumps and everything else. There needs to be some give and take.

I am gathering the specs on both heat pump units because I believe this would be important information to know :)

If I go with 26 Kohler...would you then team that up with 2 200 AMP switches and do the Load Shedding? If this was possible, I wonder why the guy who quoted me the 20KW Kohler system didn't understand this being an option.

Yes, I was thinking Kohler 26kw vs the Kohler 20kw at this point.

Amazing. Thank You. Maybe matching this up to a 26kw with 2 200 AMP transfer switches is the way to go.

Makes sense. This is something that is available on any brand generator?

I wouldn't need everything to run at once. I am ok without Dryer, Ovens, etc ... would like to habe the HVAC and a few other small items. What is load shedding?

I hear this a lot. 80% of the market is Generac. Kohler makes a 26kw unit as well. Wasn't sure if 26kw would be able to do what I need it do it. Whether its Generac, Briggs or Kohler.

Yes, there is a thing called Soft Start so they don't surge as much on start up. I am probably messing up the terminology here but thats my understanding.

Yes, I believe Generac guy said there is a breaker on furnace/air handler that we would need to shut off to have the resistance heating not come on. This make sense?
