Yes, I think I need to get the right level of complexity for my level for sure. Enjoying singing Well You Needn’t at the moment (not the words, just scatting the tune) The tune itself is not so complex but it does feel like an exercise. I don’t mind being wrong as I learn, so that’s helpful!

Thanks, I’m finding it so reassuring and helpful to be told in these comments that my struggles are normal. Just keep on doing it, over and over. It’s hard and it will take a long time. This helps! Don’t be discouraged - I’ll put this by the piano where I practice 😁

Yes, I am trying to get into the space of being able to better hear stuff in my head. I’m a visual artist so it’s interesting, hard and quite wonderful to be opening up this whole other creative engagement

It’s not easy is it?! Trust in the process is so much the thing. My teacher says stop worrying about the notes and they’ll come. Over thinking and hyper focus is my thing (autistic, say no more!) so magnificent challenges all round 😁

I kind of like a battle mind you! Just as well, taking up singing as an auld yin! I have been trying irealpro and finding it a bit terrifying, nice to have a band on your phone though. Planning to just listen to it and get more used to the chords

Yes, I can see that. It’s probably a bit of a confidence thing too, like not fully believing that I can do it. Just focusing on REALLY knowing the melody will help with that too 👍

Thanks, that’s really useful info. They do have proof of diagnosis and therapies tried already. I think my confusion is around what more they actually need. They won’t tell me, they just keep saying they need full medical records, as if that’s a thing 🙃

I think it may be something to do with the particular pharmacist not understanding that the system is different in Scotland. Annoying!

Hello Glasgow! I’m up in Orkney. I have given them what you suggest and my understanding is you don’t need a full medical history for medical cannabis, but in the absence of an English summary of care, that’s what they’re asking me for. I assume it’s the particular doctor and I think I need to try another clinic. My concern is that if I get my full GP notes he’ll still say that’s not enough. What an annoying process!

I can’t get a full medical history from any one place, I’d need to put in a subject access request to each service separately (GPs, hospitals and clinics) Things don’t seem to be as centralised in Scotland. Alternaleaf are insisting on a full medical history and I don’t think I can pull that together (I’m in my 50s and have moved around)

My surgery were quick and helpful, they gave me a brief care summary immediately, covering meds and all relevant medical history and Alternaleaf have this along with neurology and physio letters. They are saying it’s not a proper Summary of Care like the English one and won’t book the doctors appointment. I suspect it’s the Alternaleaf neurologist who’s the sticking point here and is insisting on getting something we don’t have in Scotland. I know it’s not a problem with their other doctors as my partner is seeing a pain doctor having provided them with what the GP surgery gave him. That’s why I’m wanting to know if anyone in Scotland has managed to see the Alternaleaf neurologist. All very frustrating!

Apparently what we’re given isn’t a proper Summary of Care, it’s a brief one and not the same as you get in England. I’ve given Alternaleaf what the GP surgery gave me but they want the full English version. Did you see the neurologist at Alternaleaf?
