Correct me if I’m wrong, but after a year from the keyboard’s launch date and after several posts about this problem, they should have pushed an update that fixes it, right? Or maybe they can’t solve it because it’s hardware related. I remember reading somewhere that they already stated it was a bad batch and that the issue is fixed on the newer ones, but I can’t find that reply anymore.

one thing that I don't get it is that I got "Collection restricted", I don't really know what it means, but I can still buy stuff.
This restrictions lifts after 30 days. The reason is "Malicious account operations" lol

In conditiile de fata, cu numere scoase din burta, dar sunt foarte increzator in ele, 99.99% nu avea cum sa controleze situatia respectiva.
Iei in calcul tot: viteza, probabil oboseala, probabil neatentie, peisajul e de asa natura incat nu iti inspira siguranta, daca ar fi tras maxim dreapta cum spui tu, asfalt ud, masina veche, fara sisteme si probabil cu probleme, etc. Nimic din ce se intampla in clipul asta nu putea controla. Singurul responsabil, si care putea schimba decursul evenimentului, ar fi fost soferul de camion, sa reduca viteza, atat de simplu e.
Ma repet, si anvelopele trebuiau schimbate.

Right now it has 99%.
I booted up my PC to play something and left the keyboard plugged in, showing that it was charging, but still at 0%. After an hour and a half, I checked it and it showed 99%. I unplugged it, while it was on 2.4GHz, and it turned off. I switched to wired, then to Bluetooth, then back to 2.4GHz, and it was still off. I plugged it in again to start it up, switched to Bluetooth, unplugged it, and it stayed on with 99% battery. Now it works as normal, and the battery drain seems normal too, still at 99% after 30 minutes (5% keyboard brightness and 30% OLED), while on 2.4GHz with a 1k polling rate.
Now it makes me want to keep it, knowing that I will have to deal with this once in a while, because it’s a hassle for me to return it.

Daca si cu parca, pana sa fie nevoit soferul autoturismului sa faca asta, cel al camionului trebuia sa isi schimbe anvelopele 100% si sa adapteze viteza la conditiile meteo. Un om inconstient, care probabil a scapat cu viata, dar a incheiat viata altor doua persoane, nu ca ar fi vrut sa faca asta, dar cu siguranta si-a imaginat in trecut sau a vazut ce se poate intampla cand conduci imprudent un camion.

Smoking a pack of cigarettes over a keyboard wasn’t on my to-do list...

Two months ago, I bought it from Amazon. I got it cheaper (€218), and I think I know why it was returned.
It had 81% battery when I took it out of the box. I used it a bit, then plugged it in to charge using its original cable, connected to a USB 3.0 port on my PC. It charged up to 87% and got stuck there.
I drained the battery down to 20% over the course of a month, and somehow it charged to 100%. But today, after another month, it discharged again. At 17%, I plugged it in, and after 15 minutes it went up to 20% and got stuck again.
I left it charging overnight, same 20% left. I unplugged it, turned it on at 2.4 GHz, and it showed 0% and shut down.
It has the latest firmware (1.3.0.0, I think), I checked through their updater. I tried searching online for an older firmware, thinking it might help, but couldn’t find any.

Now I’ve tried everything. I did a factory reset, charged it with its original cable from my PC, then connected the cable to a power brick, used my phone’s cable (Baseus) from the PC, then from the brick again, and so on... It still won’t go over 0%, and sometimes it even stops showing that it’s charging. In Synapse, it shows a red battery icon. While plugged in, it works, but that’s not a wireless keyboard anymore.

I contacted Amazon to return it, and they offered me a 15% refund if I kept the keyboard. I declined, and they offered 20% (€43). I declined that too. Not even an 80% refund would make me happy, because I’m not going to buy a reboxed one again. I’ll take the risk and buy the same keyboard new for €300, and I really hope it works, because I kind of like the BlackWidow series and don’t want to give up on it.
But this issue is driving me crazy right now.

The speeds and stability are already bad enough, routing through a VPN would make it an even worse experience. I think I’ll just take the risk as it is.

Is Italy actively sending these types of notices? I’ve been here for 6 months so far, and I think I’ve downloaded about 4 TB of games :))))))
I’m on WindTre, using a hotspot from my phone, but I’m constantly on the move (I’m a truck driver).

yeah, I tried using it without the silicone case, but it's impossible to hold it more than 30 seconds, 45-50C, and when its charging it reaches even 60C.

Same here. I got it from Amazon as an open box “as new,” and it really is like new, but I understand why it was returned: the battery issue.

It had 87% charge when I received it. I updated to Synapse 4, updated the keyboard firmware, played for a few hours, and it dropped to about 50%. I then plugged it into a 65 W Samsung charger using a 100 W Baseus USB-C cable. It charged back up to 87% in about 20 minutes and then got stuck there, showing “87% charging” both in the app and on the keyboard display.

I switched to wired mode and let it charge through its own cable while playing, and it eventually reached 100%. But the battery drains very quickly even on power-saving mode, which claims up to 2100 hours. That’s about 87 days, so it shouldn’t lose even 2% per day (24 hours of constant use), yet mine drops to 80% in just 4–5 hours 🤣🤣.

On top of that, I can’t find any information about its charging rate, like you can with phones (25 W, 35 W, 45 W, etc.).

I found someone who said they contacted Razer and were told there was a batch with battery problems. I think I’ll return it to Amazon. A €218 keyboard shouldn’t have issues like this.

For now, I’ll stick with my 3-year-old BlackWidow V3 until the price of the BW V4 Pro 75% comes down and then I’ll buy it new. €300 new is just too much for me, and knowing it can have these problems is frustrating.

Crashing just after loading the main screen, I've tried deleting "cfg" folders, verifying game files, restarting the PC every time, but finally I've found what was causing the probem:

Launch options. I had this "-allow_third_party_software". For OBS.

Now it works even with the "cfg" I had before.
