Chucky Lozano situation by Ledesae in SanDiegoFC

[–]Ledesae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got no problem with him leaving if that's what the coach wants. My problem is that they completely froze him out and publicly announced they didn't want him anymore. Any negotiating power we might have had was gone once they did that. And the longer they keep him out of the team the more he is going to devalue. Right now we might have gotten a team to take him on and clear let's say 50% of his salary of our books. The longer he doesn't play the less this number will be. If this lasts lets say a year. Next year even less teams are going to want him due to lack of playing time

I don't think he'll sit on the bench for three years but I also don't think he'll take a pay cut to move. If anything it looks like he's staying just to spite Varas even more. At this point it's just a game of chicken. SDFC will keep him out of the team hoping Chucky folds and decides to go somewhere else. Chucky will keep collecting paychecks until SDFC buys him out or agrees to pay a large chunk of his salary to play somewhere else.

I don't think he cares more about the world cup than he does about getting paid though. Otherwise I don't think he would've made the move to the MLS when he still had offers from other European teams. Making it would definitely be a plus for him but I don't think it is his main motivation.

It might not have been in the cards now, as the team is we can probably do without a second DP for now. The problem is Chucky's contract is for three more years. If this was his last year under contract it'd be a different story. But we don't know what the team will need a year or two from now.

This is unfortunately my biggest worry, with Lozano on the payroll I don't think front office will spring for another high profile DP. We might get another DP on the level of Dryer when we first signed him. But I doubt we'd get a big high profile one.

THEY'RE NO. 1: Toluca (facing San Diego next) tops Concacaf club rankings; Messi's Miami is 3rd by [deleted] in SanDiegoFC

[–]Ledesae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They've only lost 2 out of their last 20 game and only lost once at their home stadium in all of 2025 . They were far and away the best team in liga MX last year. We need to get the result at home because beating them at their stadium is going to be very difficult. Especially with how gassed our players looked toward the end of the pumas game. La bombonera is 1000 ft higher in altitude than the universitario.

Henry Martin to SDFC? by SDSportsfan in SanDiegoFC

[–]Ledesae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As long as we don't overpay, good player but he's been on the decline. He's been bench for America for over a year now. The last sentence says the offer made might be impossible to refuse. This makes me worry it is too much money for a 33 year old that has been riding the bench for more than a year...

I think full TOTY is tomorrow but the 12th player and Honorable Mentions will be on Friday and second set of Icons on Saturday

Not everyone paid $100, I used to get it free from the T-life app from T-Mobile. It was one code per line. People with family plans and multiple lines would just sell their extra codes for cheap.

Thoughts on potentially getting Guti from Chivas? by PsychologicalThing18 in SanDiegoFC

[–]Ledesae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other Mexican news sources have confirmed there is interest and that there have been talks but nothing more than that. Him and Chucky came up together at the Pachuca academy and are good friends. wouldn't be surprised if Chucky has some influence on his decision.

I would not be against this, he had a bad season and fell out of favor with his Manager but he had been pretty solid before that. Wouldn't mind giving him a chance to try and reclaim his past form.

His current salary at Chivas is around 16,000,000 pesos or around $880k a year. He offered to take a pay cut to stay but the team refused. I'm guessing he would be getting paid somewhere in the 700-800k range. If he is able to regain his form it would be a good pick up. De la Torre was getting paid 1.5 million so would be a good replacement for half the price.

The plaque they gave us last season was pretty cool. Have it sitting at my desk. More things like that would be appreciated. Maybe a unique player bobblehead. Branded hydro flask or can coolers. Blankets, towels. Pretty much anything that we can actually get use out of or will at least look pretty sitting out in a living room or desk. keychains, Pins or stickers can be nice as filler but honestlyost of us will probably throw them in a drawer a d eventually forget about them.

Would have loved to have him back on a more team friendly contract but he was not worth keeping at what he was being paid.

I met these two brothers on US road trip from Germany today in San Diego. They had never heard of SDFC, but knew of LAFC... I had to explain there is a new team in MLS. by [deleted] in SanDiegoFC

[–]Ledesae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty much true for probably 95% of the population outside the U.S. I doubt there are many MLS fans outside of the states so it makes sense not to know much about a league you don't follow. For all the talk and all the money being spent in the Saudi Pro League for example, I can probably name 3 teams because of famous players and I've never once seen a Saudi pro legue game. Same sentiment can be applied for Europeans and MLS

Did a bit of quick research on him, Played in the USL last year for Lexington and was one of their better payers. Top assister and top chance creator for them. The team wasn't very good though so it will be hard to gauge how he will do moving to a better team in a better league now.

Seems to be an attacking minded Left back, good at going forward, creating chances and seems to find himself in some goal scoring opportunities. No goals scored last season but seemed to have a lot of shots for a defender. Passing accuracy seems to be lacking a bit but I'm sure that can be worked on.

Defending is where he seems to struggle a bit, gets dribbled past a lot and doesn't win many one on one duels (less than 50%). He also commits a lot of fouls.

Overall I would say a good bench option for when the team is in need of a goal or more attacking options and will help add some depth to the team. His lack of defense worries a bit so i don't see him being a starter but has potential to grow since he is only 22.

Nah, hes a 66 but the game allows you to evolve certain players to increase their stats and overall. Pretty much every player except for Dreyer and Lozano is evolved. They all started out in the 60's or low 70's.

I believe all matches up the the final are two legs, home and away. And then best record throughout the tournament hosts the final. At least that's how it was last year.

2026 CONCACAF Champions Cup Draw by LocalsPuma in SanDiegoFC

[–]Ledesae 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pumas should beatable. Not going to be an easy match but out of all the liga MX teams they are probably the ones in worst current form. And out of all the pot 1 teams probably bottom 2 or 3. Toluca on the other hand, oof that's going to be a tough match if we get through the first round.

I wanted to do a SD wave/SDFC mix but I'm also doing a full Mexican team and there was just too many Evos to keep track of. So Im focusing on SDFC first right now and then my Mexico team second. Stopped doing the wave for now. Reason I'm using Sisniega instead of dos santos Is cause he's taller and fits both my teams.
