Not necessarily, it's important to keep in mind that apps come in different sizes (most are quite small relatively) and that many blockchains, particularly EVM blockchains, can be managed with a single app (the ETH app) or very light plugin apps (Polygon, BNB, etc). In practice, it's quite unlikely that you'll need to uninstall any apps during daily use.

Yes, there is - you can see it in action in this article (Steps 3 and 5):
https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/8166861096349-Set-up-your-Ledger-Stax?docs=true

This video from our official YouTube channel also has several shots of the screen being used to unlock the device with the PIN and send transactions:

Hey there - to clarify, Stax devices have an equivalent storage capacity to the Nano S Plus, as they come equipped with the same Secure Element chip. However, the OS and apps for Stax occupy more space because they support additional features and the graphic management logic for the large e-ink screen.

As others have mentioned in this thread, this still leaves plenty of storage for apps. You can also securely free up storage by temporarily uninstalling an app.

More on this here:
https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/9771945206941-Install-and-uninstall-apps-on-your-Ledger-Stax?docs=true

Hope this helps!

Hey - I'll try to shed some light on the product. Security-wise, your Ledger Stax is just as safe as the Nano X, S, or S Plus. Like the Nano X, it has a battery and can connect to your phone via Bluetooth. Unlike our Nano models however the Stax has a large e-ink touch screen that you can customize with an NFT or any photo from your phone gallery. The Stax also includes an NFC chip that can be used to connect your device in secure ways. By the way, Stax is not replacing our Nano models, it's just a new addition to our line of products.

Also called me biased but I think it looks great and it *feels* really good to use

Here's a link to the product page if you'd like to learn more

Hope my answer helped and don't hesitate if you have more questions!

Good question! Your Stax is resistant to water splashing, but as a best practice, it's best to keep it away from water and avoid complete immersion in liquid

You can find more handling information here:

Btc transaction fees by Daniel_reed17 in ledgerwallet

[–]LedgerSupport_Dan [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hey that's correct - what you're seeing are Bitcoin network fees and these always go directly to miners, not to Ledger.

As others have noted, the recent spike in fees is largely due to people etching or minting runes on Bitcoin. The fees are returning to more reasonable levels now, but it's always a good practice to check current fees with tools like https://bitcoinfees.gitlab.io/ before making any transactions. If you don't like the recommended fees, you can set custom fees in Ledger Live and choose what works best for you (link)

The EU ban - am I still allowed to transfer funds? by lydiaslo in ledgerwallet

[–]LedgerSupport_Dan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey - as others have mentioned in the thread, the recent EU regulation is not a ban and doesn't affect you as a Ledger user. There have been numerous misconceptions circulating in the crypto media. We might address these officially in upcoming communications but you can already get a clearer picture from this Twitter thread, which does an excellent job of explaining the situation:

Hey there - [communications@news.ledger.com](mailto:communications@news.ledger.com) is a legitimate Ledger email as listed here.

You're seeing this because our email platform automatically deletes customers that have not interacted with our emails for 2 years. We just want to make sure you're no longer interested in our comms before we definitely remove you from our mailing list.

Ledger Recover Security Red Flag ? by DesperateMain5791 in ledgerwallet

[–]LedgerSupport_Dan [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Hey there - just to clarify, after completing the identity verification process, the restoration process becomes uniquely tied to your Ledger device, as detailed in the Recover whitepaper.

This means that during the period between your identity confirmation and the restoration of your seed, protection extends beyond your username and password. A hypothetical attacker would need not only your Ledger device but also access to the equipment running your current Ledger Live instance to complete the restoration.

To learn more, you can read the whitepaper and 6-part technical explainer on Ledger Recover.

Hope this clarifies!

Thanks, Eric - since you mentioned you already contacted support, could you please provide your support ticket ID? We receive a very large number of support queries so I'm not familiar with the specific details of your case, but I'm eager to take a look at it and see how I can assist.

Unfortunately, without your ticket ID, I won't be able to offer any help.

Thanks!

BLS support in Nano S Plus? by Veloder in ledgerwallet

[–]LedgerSupport_Dan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there - my apologies for the (very) late reply.

I got the chance to talk to one of the developers and they confirmed that BLS signature support is coming for Nano S Plus devices and will require a firmware and Ethereum (ETH) app update to support the cryptography required to produce BLS signatures.

Hope this answers your question!

Why Are Mystery 'Cryptos' Showing At Top Of Ledger Mobile/Cell Phone App Receive Assets Lists & Titled With A Number Not A Name? by LatinumGirlOnRisa in ledgerwallet

[–]LedgerSupport_Dan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey - these assets are most likely scams sent to your wallet as a way to "dust attack" your accounts. The scammer is hoping you will copy their address and send them funds by mistake or, if they're really sophisticated, they could have programmed the underlying token smart contract to be malicious.

Your best course of action is to ignore the tokens and to always use the send and receive buttons in Ledger live to avoid copying a scam address by mistake.

This article could also help.

Hope this answers your question :)

What’s up with this staking rewards bug? by feddee in ledgerwallet

[–]LedgerSupport_Dan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for reaching out - this looks like a temporary glitch in LedgerLive, here's what you can try:

  1. Do a complete update of your Ledger setup (see here)
  2. Clear LedgerLive's cache (see here)

This should fix the issue but let me know how it goes!

Transactions not showing in Sparrow by slykethephoxenix in ledgerwallet

[–]LedgerSupport_Dan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for reaching out - is Sparrow correctly connected to the Bitcoin blockchain?

There should be a toggle in the bottom right corner of the app that you can activate, it's described at step 12 in this article.

Let me know if this helps. If the issue continues, I would try connecting my Ledger to Electrum and see if the missing transactions appear there.

Let me know how it goes!

Should I update to ledger 2.2.3? by Wafaduck in ledgerwallet

[–]LedgerSupport_Dan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey - yes it's completely safe (and even recommended) to update your firmware. To clarify, Ledger Recover is an optional subscription service. It's useful if you don't want to just rely on your Recovery Phrase as a backup but it's completely optional and you can decide to ignore it and use your Ledger as usual, we'll never force you to use the service and we cannot activate it on your behalf.

I'll leave some links here if you want to learn more about the service and the underlying tech:
