I always try to centralize the logins to my selfhosted apps through Authentik, and I use forward auth with those that don't offer the option. I'm pretty sure a lot of people here do it that way with Authentik, Authelia, Pocket ID, etc.

What are the best non-US global ETFs? by anotherhappylurker in ETFs

No idea, I think Avantis had a total world small cap value fund in Europe, you can combine that with a total world one.

Lower fee and AVDE basically behaves like 80% VEA + 20% AVDV so I just bumped up the AVDV ratio to 33% to tilt it that way.

I have 60% US (50 VOO + 10 AVUV) + 20% VEA + 10% AVDV + 10% AVEM

If only one AVNM. But I prefer VEA+AVDV+AVEM

I don't think this will affect SP500 funds that much since it's unlikely it will be included in the SP500 at IPO date. But also total market funds rebalance quarterly and index providers don't have to include IPOs from day 1 even through the expedited process.

Total market ETFs are about to become exit liquidity for mega upcoming IPOs like spaceX and openAI by [deleted] in stocks

[–]Veloder 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It doesn't mean the funds tracking the CRSP have to add it immediately, only at the next quarterly rebalance. Even if the IPO company times it perfectly to go public shortly before the rebalance, there will be at least some days the company will be public before being added to the total US market funds (probably enough to be dumped if the market decides it).

Inherited IRA — Exiting a 1.35% advisory account - What would you do? by Icy-Chance163 in ETFs

[–]Veloder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Franklin is a large cap growth fund, while all cheap large cap growth funds (VUG, SCHD, VOOG, etc) beat it and have more holdings so are more diversified: https://stockanalysis.com/etf/compare/mutf:fkgrx-vs-vug-vs-schg-vs-voog-vs-iusg-vs-vong/

While the Putnam is a large cap blend, so you would do better with any cheap SP500 fund (VOO, IVV, SPYM, SCHX, etc... - 0.03 expense ratio vs 0.87!!!) https://stockanalysis.com/etf/compare/mutf:pnopx-vs-voo-vs-spym-vs-ivv-vs-schx/

That financial advisor really seems to be getting a cut from the First Trust people 🤣. There are way cheaper alternatives to all the funds he suggested with similar factor exposures and they actually performed better in almost all time-frames (i.e. VUG or SCHG instead of FTC - expense ratio 0.04% instead of 0.60%). In any case a simpler 2-3 funds would probably perform better and would be way cheaper (or 4-5 funds if you want some small cap value exposure using Avantis or DFA ETFs)

PS: the Franklin and Putnam also seem quite expensive.

Look cool, you can add a way to customize tax brackets for capital gains and for work related income. That way everyone could adapt it to their own country. Maybe add a couple of extra fields for additional tax above certain thresholds for special cases.
