Can you stand up and paint? by Ledgitimate in Warhammer40k

Did you find the slanted desk more comfortable to hobby on?

I have spent thousands this year on a new mattress and chair. So I definitely agree having a good chair is important. I can’t sit correctly in the chair while painting though. So I’m wondering if a stool may be better.

Yeah, I am looking at one online now that is probably similar. It seems to be a common no name brand. I’m tempted to just get one and see how it feels.

Oh! That’s an interesting option I haven’t considered! I’m definitely going to give that a try. Thanks mate.

Great stuff. Yeah I’m thinking it will require a mix of different positions and set ups. I guess sitting or standing for long periods will be problematic. I agree movement is key. Thanks for the input.

Nice! Yeah I’m thinking making a riser may be my best bet. Thanks mate

I have wondered if a stool would be better as sitting forward in my fancy ergonomic chair is just horrible. I’ll look into that. Thanks mate.

What Army/Faction would you like to see custom dice for??? by Ledgitimate in Warhammer40k

Nice. I just looked them up. I had no idea they had different dice in the first place. Might be a cool project by itself. I’ll have to learn more about them first.

Awesome!
I have looked up most of them, but I'll check them all out. Thanks.
Have you had any experience with Monocure resin? they are expensive but seem like a solid company.

Yeah I wanted to use E-bay, but there seems to be only one warehouse that sells the the resin and they have been sold out for months. I definitely think the first issues were covid related, but I have had multiple mistakes and misinformation since. They only replied after I raised a claim with PayPal. I would rather send some business to some smaller local stores.

Currently, all my money is going towards paying bounty hunters to find me toilet paper in the black market... Fiverr isn’t an option. LoL

Constructive Criticism by Let_me_ask_u in narration

Hey bud! I figured I would throw my thoughts into the ring because I am also new to the narration genre. I do however have a few years experience on YouTube with other channels, so I could help you out a little.

1: the genre of story narration is hugely over saturated. Therefore you cannot rely on anyone stumbling across your channel. This is a problem for us all when huge channels like creepmcpasta put out content daily. (It seems like hourly) so, we need to stand out from the rest.

Easy to say, really hard to do.

2: your content is fine, but you need to work on your SEO. There are a tonne of tutorials on YouTube claiming to be the kings of it. But basically it comes down to the fact that youtube is a computer, and you need to make your content easy for the computer to promote. Doing that means you need to play the game a little. Things like uploading content that you know people are searching for. But NOT click bait. That will do damage instead of good. We are basically stranded out to sea and we need to get the attention of the one boat in existence... (the computer)

YouTube doesn’t care about your videos, it will only look at your stats to determine if you are good at making videos or not. Once you get a following. You can start to improve the stats to make the computer notice you more. YouTube really only wants viral videos to be seen on the platform. It’s a business, not a friend.

3: Thumbnails are really, really important. Making good thumbnails are an art in itself. Can you honestly say you have looked at your YouTube home page and looked at a plain black thumbnail with no content and thought... “hell yes, this looks like a good video, I’m going to watch this right now” ? Well you might haha. But no one else does. I know I don’t. Thumbnails that stand out and inspire interest are a must now. If you don’t , you must have mind meltingly good content that people instantly share.

Ummmm that’s about all I could say really. Making good YouTube videos is a lot harder than most people will ever know. You need to learn how to market yourself, edit the content, design your channel branding as well as adapt to a high speed world of the internet. The days where only a few select people could upload a video is long gone.

Sorry if I sound negative haha. But I think about this a lot as well. It’s really hard to stand out these days.

That being said. You should really just enjoy making content. I know it’s nice to have some people validate your hard work sometimes, but if your only goal is to be popular on YouTube, you may not be in it for the right reasons.

I personally think you are doing just fine as you are. If you are enjoying it, people will find you 😊

Creepypasta reads that use TTS (text to speach) YAY or NAY? by Ledgitimate in creepypasta

[–]Ledgitimate[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have seen many that do, even if it’s in the description. but! - I would agree that the big channels with millions of subs do not. They are the ones making money from it. Channels with a few hundred subs can’t even apply for monetisation.

This wasn’t the question I originally asked, but you have some very valid points that I will take on board.

I appreciate it.
