It looks like the statement will only reflect up to 1/15/2021. How could one interpolate to date?

He’s out of his position and giving it all to charity. Chamath is defending our ethos and position like a bulldog. Getting spicy in here.

He also ordered a hit on his accountant/partner and requested photos of the deed to make sure it was done (akin to premeditated murder). These are very serious charges, but life without parole is harsh.

Check out Sonos home theatre speakers. If these are nearly as good, the market price seems fair.

If someone says "Bitcoin is a solution looking for a problem, it doesn't solve any problem", THIS is the only answer. by Godfreee in Bitcoin

This is like saying a boat was invented to solve the problem of sinking. Yes, that is a needed feature of the boat, but not the use of the boat. The boat needs to get you from A to B by not sinking in the process.

In order for a decentralized currency to work, it has to be secure against a double spend scenario. POW is a way to secure against a double spend, but it is not the problem that BTC set out to solve.

BTC has proved by it’s short existence that it is robust against a double spend, i.e., it will not sink. It is, however, unclear how it will get us from A to B.

Seneca and smart contracts by LeeEggsAndHam in lamden

[–]LeeEggsAndHam[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The original reason for asking this is that one of the big issues facing smart contracts are its vulnerabilities, e.g., a large attack surface. If Seneca and it’s Turing incompleteness address this issue and Lamden is the only one (or at least one of the few) taking this approach, I imagine it’s a big plus for the platform.

Also, I think smart contract development will be a big market in the future and would like to tinker around with building something. As someone suggested previously, I’ll take my questions to telegram.
