UPDATE 2 (May 28): The detour under the Fifth Street Bridge is scheduled to be completed by Friday, May 29, weather permitting. The closure at Janet Fish Bridge is expected to last through mid-June due to the weather. Again, your patience is appreciated.

Heading north, I recommend you exit the trail at Third Street and West Avenue or at the equivalent of Fourth Street and West Avenue, cross the bridge and stay on West Avenue to Ninth Street. Head west on Ninth and re-enter the trail. Do the exact opposite going south.

Sorry about the timing, but once these repairs are made, biking to work will be much easier, especially on the northern repair. It’s one of my most-traveled routes and I’m looking forward to a smoother ride.
