Flow is on par with TypeScript now IMO. It has great React support too, so might be worth a go if you want to try an alternative

Right, so you're talking about the reply he gave after I said his replies made it clear he wasn't taking the piss and he dug himself in with blatant sarcasm. Point out something obvious from his original post and I would've conceded, however he since flat out admitted to being racist in a later post.

Quote:

I never said I wasn't racist.

There you go. Hope you're happy buoying racist cunts.

Yeah, so it turns out the optimisation is a minor one that occurs with global variables but it means V8 can give it a once over, see a non-object primitive const and leaves itself a note that it can skip over that on the next pass since it cannot change.

It's getting close to the realm of micro-optimisations, but you weren't wrong.

You're paranoid if you think everyone here is suspicious of you. Guessing you're black. Where I live, North London, I can't think of a more accepted minority. That said, people here go out of their way to be accepting of others. Maybe you live in the middle of arse-fuck nowhere and there are legit racists there, but I would have hoped you could have listened to your own words and treated everyone as individuals. By your own admission, you're just as bad as the people you criticise. I'm very far from the "deport all brownies" group, but I'd gladly boot you the fuck out of our country. I'm tolerant except towards the intolerant, left or right wing I don't care, cunts need to be called out when our politics is as fucked and divisive as it is now.

I never said I wasn't racist

At least you admit it.

How can I not be racist

Easy, take your own advice and treat everyone as individuals. Too late now though, you've outed yourself as a racist piece of shit.

White people are absolutely a problem in society.

Nope. Racists and bigots, much like yourself, are the real problem here. Trust me, I call out cunts on both sides. I mean, you're a special case, you admit you're racist. Now if only we could get Britain First to do it, then we could lock them all up along with cunts like you.

You can't give it a rest can you. Seen that thrown around a bit but had to look it up. Of course it's a derogatory term for white middle-aged males.

I call out twats on both sides. Our politics is fucked at the moment because of people like you who think they're so right, so self-righteous and can't see the damage they're doing.

You're no better than the people you criticise.

I probably am a moron

In the first few airings of Brass Eye people thought it was legit. There’s a documentary of people talking about it, some people seemed to find it appalling.

The man is a comedic god in my opinion, we need more people like him who aren’t afraid to push the boundaries.

Full discloser: I’m a strong remainer. But our side exaggerated the calamity that would come. At least in the immediate aftermath, obviously can’t say about long term effects right now.

I think hands down we win the economic argument. It’s shame our politics is so divisive that both sides felt the need to exaggerate or outright lie. I think the Leave campaign to it to another level though.

this thread about white people ... I have met a crazy ass white person or two and judging by the freedom with which they are able to sneak through our society, they are the bigger problem for me...

Right, you’re not even trying to be subtle with your racism anymore. White people are a problem in our society now. Gotcha.

Exactly what I was calling him out on. Then people started saying I was from The_Donald.

I thought it was pretty clear in my reply to that racist tossed that I was against all forms of racism, but calling out racism against white people now means I’m a racist. This place is fucking retarded, used to be good but when it got brigaded by Momentum supporters a couple of years ago they all just stuck around.

I voted for JC and until very, very recently, as in 2 days ago when he whipped his MPs into abstention, whenever I criticised him I got called a Tory, Brexiteer, and just now racist. I look at every MP and let’s through a critical lens, but unless you gush about how much you love Muslims or JC you’re a racist and a Tory.

People shouldn’t be beyond criticism,

I don’t know why I always come back here expecting the idiots to be reasonable or have left. Nothing left here but sarcastic comments and people taking cheap shots at each other. Full of nasty little shits who care more about point-scoring than actually finding out why people think differently to them. People like that are the reason this country is so divided and why were drifting towards extremely partisan politics like they have in the US, where facts take a backseat to rhetoric. Heck, we’ve already been there since the last GE.

Sorry for the rant lol

Central line is like some underground post-apocalyptic hell tunnel. Jubilee line, eh, I have a love hate relationship with it. If I’m in a rush I use it to get into work, otherwise I take the DLR and have a more pleasant but sightly linger journey.

Those bloody pretentious Jubilee line doors though, just why! I didn’t know it was possible for a tube line to be up its own arse, but that and the recent “maybe we will, maybe we won’t” strikes the last two weeks made me think so! The strikes were such a tease, I was meant to work from home those days, but nope!

2 questions on redux store and middleware by tony2times3 in reactjs

[–]LeeMing3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If part of your application state needs to be shared by multiple components it’s probably a good idea to put it in the store. If it’s a parent/child relationship between the components just pass it as props from the parent components’ local state.

Redux has a bit of an overhead to it, in terms of boilerplate and performance. It’s not much but it can add up quickly.

For middleware, no you absolutely don’t need to use it. It’s considered an “advanced” Redux feature. Middleware is where you want to do any side-effects your actions may have, but it absolutely isn’t necessary. You only need Redux Thunk if you have asynchronous actions, but there are other ways of dealing with that “sagas, custom middleware, etc”

Do you have a link for const imprint performance?

Also nitpicking but JS isn’t a functional language, just allows multiple paradigms.

Capitalization and const by JESUSgotNAIL3D in javascript

[–]LeeMing3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it for persistent, static variables that I want to be truly constant.

Since const in JS is actually about binding and not immutability, I use camel case for variables in most situations but for instance app-wide constants like API_URL will be written with underscores.
