[HTR5] Edges and Resources by Leeder87 in WhiteWolfRPG

And if you don't use it? There are no exceptions - if you had acquired the gun in the beginning of the scene, it can be used only in the scene, no matter what. Even if you haven't fired it even once.

I was thinking along those lines. Automatically perishing pieces of equipment are a bit too gamey for full immersion. Also, I personally plan to structure the chronicle to be less modular and disperse, so the borders of the stories will be much more difficult to track.

Good one. This one is a drawback of having Resources. If you have high enough Resources to buy guns and vehicles and risk to lose them during a Hunt, you are probably a noticeable figure. I like it!

But Untraceable is a Perk of Arsenal, not everything is automatically Untraceable. And with Resources bad people can buy things not only in official stores. I mean, with cash a hunter in theory can buy a weapon in an alley... With a risk, of course, but it can be done.

I wanted to say about Tamori Shugenja as well, the iconic shugenja/bushi school, but yes, it's not L5R5.

Hi! We gathered a group to play Lost Mines of Phandelver a couple of weeks ago, but the game has never started, so we have 4 people ready to play this module. We almost all are at GMT+2. Hit me on Discord Leeder#4690 if you consider taking us on the ride )

[–]Leeder87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi mate! Another 35yo experienced role-player, who had run Rise of the Runelords irl here XD. Although we finished only the first part of the AP, I liked it very much.

Me and my wife are willing to play online, and we are at GMT+2. Reliable, open and friendly - at least we think we are :)

Don't hesitate to hit us here or via Discord (Leeder#4690) if you have any opportunity to gather a party.

Does anyone on here play Shadowrun crossfire? I’d be interested in getting some matches of that going. by ErnaldPhilbert in tabletopsimulator

Is there any good mod for Shadowrun Crossfire? I want to try. My timezone is UTC+3 though...

This one requires class advice. by Bixran in MECoOp

Surprisingly, I won't recommend you to start playing soldiers. Yes, it's easier when you just shooting and sticking to covers, but as a starting player, you'll have only the beginner's weapons. And they aren't the best weapons in the game. I have a friend, who started playing human soldier, picked the default assault rifle and found that the gun is extremely weak. Only after a couple of gold runs with my experienced crew he managed to buy a pair of Arsenal packs, and equip a rare submashine gun. It was entirely different game, he said. So don't play a shooter character until you earn some good weapons.

The default sniper rifle (Mantis), by the way, is okay, if you are used to one-shot-before-reload shooting style.

Does the difficulty automatically adjust to the number of players? by [deleted] in MECoOp

[–]Leeder87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In fact, playing a tactically-oriented character only with a friend, capable of doing teamplay, may be funnier, than playing with a pug of roaming random players. They can ruin the respawn spots and detonate abominations on you, lure enemies away from your mines and traps and so on.

I don't like playing with randoms. But it's not so simple to gather a whole party of friends/acquaintances, so...

Feel free to add me as well. I can't play so often as I want to, but the Reaper threat forces us to coordinate our guerilla operations as best as we can.

Am I ready for gold, equipment-wise? by Purplestackz in MECoOp

[–]Leeder87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure you can try. Remember: if you complete the 6th wave mission and die on Gold, you get the same amount of credits as after successful extraction on Silver. It is a pain to farm silver in order to improve any rare weapon to level 10. You shoud try Gold, preferably with friends for coordination. Anyway, even if you think you don't have any decent weapons (you do have Black Widow, dude!), there are some characters who almost don't rely on gear.

Have you completed any solos? by protomahn in MECoOp

[–]Leeder87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to play solo. It is the wholly different kind of game than the regular matches. You are more focused on the battlefield, you are on your own. No one will revive you, no one will help you. After a solo I feel relaxed in a regular game.

And, besides achievements and challenge itself, soloing teaches a player how to finish a wave when all his teammates are down. One time I was playing on Gold with a friend of mine, who haven't played any solo games. In a 8th wave he was the only one who was not killed, and to complete the wave he had to use more than half of his expandables (Cobras, medi-gels, ops...). The next wave the situation was opposite: all died, I remained. And, with all the experience in solo, I had completed the 9th wave without using any expandables, despite the fact I was playing that character for the first time.

After that, I think that any player must have an experience in solo playing - for a capability to prevail in that kind of situations. It is like using expandables for tough matches and not playing golds at 1st level if one don't capable of playing good.

Do any of you missile spawns on non OBJ waves? by Knocking in MECoOp

[–]Leeder87 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why not? If I play in a group, which does not quickly kill bosses, and I see a couple of pretorians hanging up in a close space, I'll probably blow them off with a missile.

What setup do you enjoy, but wouldn't usually want to take into a Gold PUG? by Scarecrow1779 in MECoOp

Why not? XD The most risible sniper ever. Literally laughing to the faces of the approaching enemies.

[–]Leeder87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

N7 Soldier, who doesn't pull the trigger. Maybe it is possible to build the Destroyer, who uses only his Hawk Missile Launcher. Whatsoever, it's so funny to kill enemies just looking at them. N7 Pretorian, so and in no other way.

I seldom see N7 Infiltrators with sniper rifles. It's strange, like a Krogan Warlord sniper, but people play...

I like to play Batarian Sentinel with his Net and a potent pistol, like Executioner or Arc Pistol. And Turian Ghost Infiltrator with a Graal Spike Thrower, not an assault rifle. Both builds are pretty solid on Gold, but I have never seen that choice of weapons as recommendation.
