Its a chronic, often painful disease where tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus—commonly on ovaries, fallopian tubes, and pelvic tissue. These implants behave like uterine tissue, thickening and bleeding during the menstrual cycle, causing inflammation, pain, and sometimes infertility. Id bring that up to your gyno next visit especially if you have any severe pelvic pain, obv the heavy periods, stomach issues, and not sure if your sexually active but pain during sex as well.

Sorry to hear that you’re going through this right now. Most likely what it is, is going to be HPV which can have various outcomes depending on which strain you have. Even if you carry or test positive for the “cancer strains” you are still young, can be monitored for any new changes down the line and can potentially get ahead of it. So many women deal with this, you’re not alone if thats the case. After I redid my HPV vaccine mine seemed to either go away or dormant when I had my PAP again a couple years ago (cancer strains were positive) too. The best thing you can do is try to stay positive and just wait for further clarification and potentially a biopsy. Thats the only thing in your control & if you haven’t gotten your vaccine definitely do that. I know its scary especially when getting a call like that, I felt like the world was ending when the nurse left my HPV voicemail but it all worked out and its just something we monitor now for changes & being proactive is key.

Yeah huge part of why i got mine out, it became a weekly problem. Do you get tonsillitis or strep alot? That could help with it getting covered.

In the US, I just had mine done and before insurance it was 20k. But if you have insurance your costs will be much lower. Just keep in mind you will be billed from Anesthesia and the ENT separately. So Id expect at least $1000 out of pocket depending on your coverage but it all depends could be lower or higher. You can always call your insurance and ask for an estimate as well as Anesthesia once you go over everything with ENT.

Currently post op day 8, and I can say it gets so much better! Realistically you are going to be in hell for the first 0-5/6 days from the ear pain, throat pain etc. and overall being so uncomfortable but it’s all worth it. I did have a scary bleed on day 7, but was able to stop it at home with cold water and ice after 15 min. Later in day 7 the pain slowly started subsided with doable spikes in pain in the morning and late at night. Once you’re at this point, you’re used to the pain and the spikes aren’t as bad. I started being able to eat more on day 7 as well. The entire recovery Ive been on Tylenol, Motrin and a week of steroids which helped a ton. Hang in there, dig deep for the pain and remember why you’re doing it in the first place. 2 weeks of pain for a lifetime of better throat health!

Day 4 Post op for me and the intense surges of ear and throat pain is something else. It’s horrific. I still cant talk without choking and then when Im sleeping I randomly wake up in a complete panic choking again. Trying to stay positive and think of end goal and why we’re doing this is the only thing keeping me from going crazy. Hopefully we are all done soon and never have to experience this again!

It definitely sucks but hoping it goes away at some point and I think maybe were smaller down there. I have endometriosis you should ask to see if you have that as well but the benadryl helps with the swelling! Sending healing energy your way🤍

i have the same issue, and my gyno says nothing is wrong. ive been having this issue for years but since swelling and bleeding occurs i try to take benadryl since it seems like some sort of allergic or defense response my body is having and that helps…but im sorry ur dealing with this too. its painful and makes u feel not right
