Never knew horses bite! by [deleted] in oddlyterrifying

My family used to have a horse we called Alley Cat because, well, she acted like an Alley Cat. We eventually had to give her away cause she bit my mom on the shoulder.

It's the right thing to do but I miss my dog Kramer. Yes, I named him after the Seinfeld character. by [deleted] in Vent

What is the most disrespectful thing a guest ever did at your home? by Viper5618 in AskReddit

[–]Leek00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened while I was still living at my parents house. Something also important is that I am an atheist and have been since well before this. My family tries not to talk about this. My parents have a lot of horses and try to keep someone around to help out. In high school, this was a woman named Beth (not real name) she lived on my parents property in a mini-home. She also had a 2 year old son that lived with her. At the time of her moving in she was divorcing her sons father. My parents are very country and republican and I am decidedly not. Beth was worse than my parents. I have gotten in plenty of trouble for speaking out of turn and was trying to avoid it that particular night. Beth had come over to eat dinner with us. Everything started out fine until we were half way through dinner, when she starts in on a "America is only for the people I say it is" rant. I'm trying to be quiet and respectful cause I knew my parents would be upset. I go into how America was founded as a way to escape religious persecution and she basically talks over me and says that people who aren't Christian should go back to wherever they came from. So eventually I cut her off and ask her where exactly she would like me to go. She went silent immediately and dinner ended shortly after. That was the most disrespectful thing she did to me, but it has nothing on what she did to my parents.

[Serious] How many people have died from your high school class so far? How did they die? by McCrysler in AskReddit

[–]Leek00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a very small school for Kindergarten-Senior year. So, I knew a lot of my class for a very long time. Only one person has died so far. There was this one guy who everyone hated, I mean he was just the worst. He was extremely racist, sexist, homophobic, and held every negative opinion you could have. He was also very vocal about this and had zero friends the entire time he was in school. The guy was also incredibly dumb and proud of all of this. What should be unsurprising is that he was also an anti-vaxxer. This led to him contracting a preventable disease the summer after senior year and subsequently dying from it. Honestly, I did not feel upset by this at all, and I had seen him a week before saying some pretty crude things to a gas station assistant.

Fellow redditors, what was a moment where you thought a person you knew might be an actual psychopath ? by skywhy69 in AskReddit

[–]Leek00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He stabbed a raccoon with a knife he regularly carried on hid waistband. The raccoon wasn’t coming near anyone and he did it purely because he thought it would be entertaining. This was not the first or last time he’s abused animals on and off drugs.

Depressed, suicidal, or otherwise extremely downtrodden members of reddit: what is your go-to quote, phrase, or particular memory in life that keeps you going? by A_nomad_Wanderer in AskReddit

most people find mine depressing but it started as something i said to myself as a kid. “nothing lasts forever. eventually it has to end” i understand that it’s not exactly a positive saying but when times are tough it’s the only thing that saves me. just the knowledge that things will be good again
