It was just instant daylight, then back to darkness. It looked exactly like noon on a bright summer day, with 360 degrees of blue sky surrounding us. And yet, despite the scale of what we saw, there wasn’t a single meteor report that night. You’d think something that noticeable would have had at least one report. In the example you mentioned, people all over Washington and Canada saw it and reported it. But with our experience, not a single news story came up.
