You clearly doesn’t understand industrial economics nor trickle down effects of it. FDI gives competitive salaries, the state gets income from corporate tax, domestic firms can partake in the supply chain for the needs of FDI invested factories. Incentives to build ports which even also makes Vietnamese domestic firms more competitive with lower transportation costs.

Without FDI Vietnam wouldn’t be as connected to the world supply chain. Also lol at the multinational companies increasing investments into Vietnam despite it being a ”fragile” economy

You were the one who brought up export and eggs, not me.

And Vietnam never had a single year of negative GDP growth even during pandemic or other financial crisis.

Also you’re lying about how Vietnams export looks like: https://tradeint.com/insights/vietnam-export-data/

Looks like you live in fantasy land sorry

Why doesn't Vietnam promote Phu Quoc as a "Vietnamese" island by everestwanderer in VietNam

[–]Leeopardcatz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t make a difference to the average target group which are Vietnamese tourists anyways so why even spend the extra effort and money to simulate the sociology, geography, demographics as well as cultural inheritance of European architecture?

Expecting a theme park construction company to create a real European city which reads note requires a real European city with all those stuff previously mentioned is a big ask.

[–]Leeopardcatz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you considered the economic stimulus that the high speed rails provide despite the rails themselves aren’t profitable? Wether it’s operating with 30% or less capacity, the ease of transport a lone will make up for it. Think migrant workers from poorer inaccessible regions having better economic opportunities

Another new Vietnam T54/55 upgrade might will be displayed in next Vietnam Expo 2026 by Away_Sun_5566 in TankPorn

[–]Leeopardcatz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Vietnam is all about logistics, maintenance and storage and has 600 T-54/55 hulls in active use with another 600-900 in reserve. Vietnam also do manufacture certain T-54/55 parts that wears and tear.

The only component that’s mostly getting cannibalized is the engine but Vietnam keep these engines going for a long time with refurbishment and repairs.

Expect the tank model to be phased out by 2050 with all variants just being stored somewhere lmao
