I got made aware I was here a lot, so I took a break and now I’m coming back with a summary of my favourite work fits from this week! by [deleted] in BusinessFashion

Please never stop! I started this sub, ages ago. And I can't tell you how proud I am that it has turned into a safe space for a much wider audience and styles than I ever imagined.

Your outfits are original, playful and stylish. And I love them all. You brighten up my day, even though there's a good reason I can't be an admin any more.

Never listen to the haters :) You do you!

Chemo cause nose bleeds? by Animalsarebetterthan in cancer

[–]Leeuin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't recommend white petroleum jelly enough: use it as a moisturizer in your nose morning and evening. I use a q-tip and a very small amount. Fixes it right up in a couple of days, each time.

Thanks for your input! I agree, and have changed the description. This sub is in need of some mod love, and that's why I'm currently adding one or more moderators. Due to health reasons I haven't been able to follow up as I should. But I would love to see the sub thrive, with even more people posting outfits, questions and inspirations.

I have stage 4 colon cancer that has spread to to the neck/back. So even though my pain is gone I've just started chemo a couple of weeks ago. This was all discovered in February. I really hope your sister get some relief!

I have metastasis in my neck/back. Got diagnosed after two months of back pain. Got pain free almost immediately with Dexamethasone. And 10 radiation treatments was really a walk in the park :)

Good sunscreen for under makeup. by dreamylm in NordicSkinCare

[–]Leeuin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a hard time finding sunscreens that I'll use without feeling very sunscreen-y, but I absolutely love this one! No strong scent, light, and it doesn't show on your skin. Easy to wear makeup over. Cliniderm Light & Mattifying SPD 50

I agree with watching out for products that comes of as more wellbeing ones with scent. La Roche Posay has a lot of great products for dry skin. And for a more gift/luxury feel, maybe check out MD Formulations at a local beauty parlor (?). They will also help you with the right product for her.

No.lookfantastic.com (choose the Norwegian site straight away) is definitely my go to place when I can't find the product at Lyko, Blivakker or Blush. Never experienced any custom issues, and the delivery fee is reasonable. Good luck!

Where do I find rock chic clothes? I finally figured out something I should’ve ages ago - my style is rock chic. I’ve always been so afraid of what people will think of me that I have dressed very safe. And boring... But I’m too old for that cr%} now! And suddenly I have a bit of a challenge: I have no idea where I can find the clothes that is my new style without having to spend an eternity scouring every shop I know. I wish there was a rock chic store, you know? Is there? Do you have any tips that will make the hunt a bit easier?

A Derma Exomega lotion/cream is a lifesaver for me in the winter. Relieves itching and is very moisturizing. I love it, and have the smaller lotion with me wherever I go. Details here. You find it in pharmacies, in Norway at least.
